I thought we traded you to LakersGround for a poster to be named later, $52 in cash, and a 2011 second round pick.

Naw, that was PrincessPimp
I can get over trading Scola for nothing, i could get over possibly trading Splitter for nothing, but i'll never get over trading...

There were three massive Spurs organization failures in the Duncan era:
1. Not drafting Josh Howard.
2. Screwing up Andres Nocioni's birth date, hence not being ready to draft him.
3. Giving away Luis Scola (for nothing/at all).
Good or bad things come in threes. Hopefully this is the last. We won championships after the first two; hopefully we get one after the last.

We gotta get something fortunate some time.
Those last two are pretty bad. :lol The birth date one is just retarded. Our FO rested on our laurels (Tony and Manu) it's been a drought ever since (with draft moves at least). Joe Dumars has done a better job keeping up with the pace. I didn't realize how much we've relied on FA veterans around Timmy to keep the 'ships coming. I guess we took it for granted, since they always praise the FO for their drafting ingenuity just only two years ago.

Don't worry, Splitter's serving some fresh beef for the fans this summer.

If Ian delivers then that will be another accomplishment, though for some it will bee seen as an a plus for Presti more than the FO overall.

we passed on josh, and we traded away barbosa for cash. while that appears to be pretty stupid, we had our sights on NVE and Finley. i cant blame the FO for choosing finley and NVE at the time.

What about not re-upping stephen jackson for Barry money.

we passed on howard and traded barbosa because we were saving cap space to woo jason kidd. but we didnt sign him....
i wish we would have kept barbosa. i was upset about not drafting howard, but after he came clean about being a pothead.....ive decided to be upset that we traded barbosa. besides....if we had barbosa, perhaps splitter might have come over in 2008. but it is all hindsight and hearsay....we do not know exactly how it all would have played out if things would have happened differently.
cant complain about the 2 titles we have won in that 4 year span.
Pop traded Scola for Nothing.
Hitler bombed Pearl Harbor.
A. It's old news
B. Wrong guy. Pop was torqued about letting Scola go to the Rockets.

well a big reason was cap relief, another big reason was drafting tiago splitter, and another big reason was that duncan plays the same position, and another big reason was we needed money for udoka.

RC Buford is a clown. He tried to play cheapskate with Scola, but this same idiot paid Rasho fuckin' Nesterovic 7 million a year.
All I can say is the Spurs are up shit creek when #21 hangs it up. Hopefully by that time, there'll be another amazing big man coming out of college and Pop can tank another season and land the #1 pick to get him (wink)

Peter Holt was the cheap ass who issued the orders to not sign Scola, so he wouldn't have to pay for going a cap penalty. Face it as long as Perter Holt is the owner SA will low ball free agent salaries to go over the salary cap.

CIA Pop. :smokin
He fucked up Scola.
He blew the assignment in Hawaii--it was his job to be on the lookout for the Japanese aircraft.
He sat on the info re: 911. Busy having breakfast with a Shiek buddy who passed along the info. Pop went to bed after getting drunk on wine. :whine
CIA Pop pissed off the main guy at OPEC by beating his ass in a poker game. His punishment? The prick said to Pop--"You will see $5.00 a gallon gasoline, you pig."
Pop told Manu to foul Dirk--told Manu and the team they better deny this to the media or he would have to ship their asses to the Knicks like he did to Malik.
I am sure there are other things that Pop is responsible--these are just a few that I am aware of.

Good theory, except the Spurs are paying a penalty. They just chose to pay it for Bonner instead of for Scola.

They couldn't use Bonner's rights to move Butler's contract. :-/

Well luckily for us the Spurs are about 18 million under the luxury tax threshold going into this summer, so we won't have to worry about that problem for the foreseeable future.
