He kinda drifted away from conversation here as the season progressed.

Could be worth the 57th pick. Long enough to fill into a small ball lineup. Defense is his specialty, and I think his offensive game can grow.

Bigger and longer than Bowen, is also defense first, second, and third. Extremely offensively challenged. Has fallen out of draft interest most everywhere, it seems.

I imagine he could be on the Spurs radar for an invite if he's not drafted.

I've liked him for a while. He's a tremendous defender but does little else. He's a bit on the cocky side, though. 'Wanted' him is one thing; I felt he was a strong 2nd round candidate last year. He's not even making full mocks this year.

Same. I think he is the answer for many of the matchup problems. You can see his great footwork (ala Bowen). This is the main difference between Bowen and Udoka -- their lateral quickness.

If he doesn't get drafted by the Spurs or get a camp invite, I would be severely disappointed. I think this year he has shown that he's able to get some O going.

For the record, I think he could still be a steal in the second round. Any semblance of an offensive game and he's a lottery pick.

How legit is his 6-8 listing? After the pre-draft measurements were done, many players in mock drafts had their heights changed.

Finally! We need a player with a sweet hand gesture......We should try to get Chris Anderson while we are at it, so we can have two players with bird like gestures after dunks...

Haha. I didn't know you posted here Chuck. Your birdman propoganda does not surprise.

Just what the spurs need, another offensively challenged player.

He would be Bowen's successor, straight up. In theory at least.

Forgive me for doubting the extent of the draft coverage here. I didn't think Dove would get a mention. I was at almost every home game Dove played in at OSU. I don't know where anyone would get the idea that he's "cocky." Anyway, he gave Durant fits! I'm also pretty sure his 3 pt. shot is better than Bowen's was at this point in his career. He really improved his J this season, just by hitting the gym every morning at 6...workin' hard! Like I said, he actually hit some clutch threes for us this year including the game winner against the NCAA Champs KU! I'd love to see him in a spurs uniform!

The 'bird' symbol above his head is enough to be cocky in the eyes of Spurs' fans - it's a team of players that doesn't draw attention to themselves. I've seen or heard nothing else to make him be cocky.

That said, I've liked him since the preseason NIT last season.

Marcus Dove 6-8 208 SF Oklahoma St. Sr. -- 3.0 ppg, 33% fg, 2-4 3p

Aside from Dove's tremendous physique and defensive capabilities, he struggled to impress. He knocked down a few outside shots, but his offensive repertoire is severely limited. He lacks the ability to handle the ball, and doesn't show anything in the way of passing or court sense. His raw athletic ability should give him a chance to move up playing in lower leagues in Europe and give him time to develop his offensive game.

Yeah, they should get rid of Bowen. :rolleyes

They need to bring in 2 rookies this year. A defensive minded long 3 would be great. They also need to pick up a scorer. E.g., Batum, Walker, Lee, CDR
