I didn't think it was possible to be as stupid as PopaCement and his choking off a 65-45 lead with 6 minutes left in the 3rd qtr of Game 1. Of course he tried to duplicate it another game where the Spurs led the Komes by 17 just before half. So it went 4-1 Fakers.

But does that even compare to Bostons 24 pt 4th qtr lead becoming 104-102 with 30 seconds left? I guess since the Celts won it's irrelevant or is it?
Can Doc choke as bad as Pop and blow a game or two and with some real Poppycock type strategies maybe even still choke off the series?

Say it ain't so.:downspin:

It wasn't a chokejob.

Mavfan weighing in on what's chokage or not? Shades of 2006 finals.:toast

Not at all. Finley is a power forward and Bruce Bowen had no business continuing to guard Kome after he shut him down for 30 minutes. :downspin: Smallball rules and good thing Barry was kept on the bench as long as he was.

Popapologists just don't get it. :toast

Anyone else besides mavfan think Doc can do it?

Mavs were screwed by the Refs in NBA Finals like Lakers were screwed by the refs in game 2 (like we were screwed in games 1, 2 and 5).

Refs deciding who the winners will be.

Whoa, Spurs were screwed in games 1, 2, and 5 of the Lakers series? They lost gmae 2 by 30 points...

I hate when the word "choke" gets tossed around liberally. The refs had too big an influence in the 2006 Finals for it to be called a choke, and Golden State was just a bad matchup.

its not a choke job unless they blew the lead. they never blew the lead, and they won. doesnt qualify as a choke job.

It was DAMN close. That would have went down as the worst choke job in NBA history if the Lakers pulled it off.

Dunno...

I still like:

A--Mavs v. Heat Choke job

B--Mavs v. Golden Sate Choke job

What chokejob..... Just because you lose in the WCF to a higher seeded doesnt mean you choked...

Yeah, and the Spurs would be in the Finals if they won 4 games vs the Lurkers.

"Close" only counts in horseshoes & hand grenades!
