A game about driving in circles?
A game about driving in circles?
But they're left-hand driving circles.
Big difference there.

Does a race in the game last 10 hours like in real life?

i know the rednecks with revolt, but nascar is the most stupidest "sport". sport events have athletes. drivers are drivers. not athletes. mechanics are mechanics. not athletes. tire changers are tire changers. not athletes. and to top all of that their off season--i guess pressing your foot down and turning left wears on you--is only 2 months.

QFT! Nothing makes me happier than watching those dumb hicks miserably fail at throwing out ceremonial first pitches.

I wouldn't call them atheletes but its physically draining on your body to compete at speeds like that for 4 or 5 hours. You're upper and lower body have to be in good condition to drive into turns with those G forces, its not 105 MPH like it was 40 years ago when fat dudes did it in between beers. Its not the same as running a quarter mile or driving down the road. Theres a difference a massive one. You don't have to call them full blown athletes but you're a fucking complete moron to think you could do what they do at any given moment.

I guarantee my pickup basketball last night was more physically demanding than just about any nascar race that's ever been run.

I didn't care much for it either. Found myself playing 07 more than 08. It has grown on me a little, though...just in time for 09.
Supposedly this one is more user friendly. Dunno how much Jeff Gordon I can take though. He's supposed to be your "guide" through the game. Ugh...
