The cost of their oil is in essence parts, labor, etc. It does not cost them $120 per bbl to get their oil. It is no more than maybe $30 per bbl. My argument is that Mexico keeps their oil within their own market circle, shielding it from world supply and demand pricing.
If they did this, they'd have a shortage of refined products. Great idea!
I know Scott is knowledgeable in this filed, but in this case, I'm rather certain he's on the wrong side of the truth.
Yeah, okay.

:rolleyes
... and I'm supposed to believe YOU when you start talking out your ass about global warming, even though you don't really study global climate for a living?
I can't logically dismiss what you say about global warming based on the fact that you are a hack, but you keeping saying the stupidist, most partisan shit, making me assign anything you say about global warming very little weight when it comes to evaluating the evidence.

Historic numbers are on my side.
:nope Do tell, hack-boy. Step up and let me see them and how they support your argument.

:lol yeah okay
That is the standard WC response when you pick his strawmen apart.
"you aren't really addressing my points", in a lame-ass attempt to avoid admitting how shaky his point was.

You guys forget that PEMEX is state run and operated, treaded as a state resource. Not like a corportation. This is Corporatism. On the books, all their profit, and then some is effectively taxed. It is treaded as a vessel for state debt as well. Since it is taxed at something like 60% on the books, and a state entity, it is not truely a subsidy that anyone sees at the pumps. It is effectively a tax break.
They have plenty of oil to sell for profit on the open market and still produce fuel at a profit. They export (2008 estimates & various site links) (http://www.indexmundi.com/mexico/oil_production.html) 59.94% of their oil produced and import 14.85% of what they consume. Selling at market value and producing at say $30 per bbl gived them plenty of room to still sell gasoline at a profit.
Please use the real meaning of subsidy. Not the liberal translations of it.

Please give me the "historical figures" that back up your assertion.

"liberal translations"
It isn't a translation, dipwad, it is the definition of a subsidy.
