1999 wasn't an actual season - real NBA seasons have 82 regular season games, not 50. Even in the 1940s they played 60 game seasons

Smack goes both ways

Smack also goes stale, especially smack from the previous century.

you just discredited the lakers titles of the past, same with the celtics.

You're right, the Spurs are definitely asterisked regular season champions. What about playoff champions? You know — the games that decide who wins the championship?

You just discredited the championships of the Lakers and Celtics of old, what do you have to say about that.

Let me break this down for you in big ass letters.

If the Fakers are so good why would they need a full season?

What does that have to do with anything? He's not complaining about avatars

All of the Lakers' championships from the '80s: *, because they didn't play 7-game series like we do today, and real champions have an opportunity to play 108 games in a season, because 108 is a number pleasing to the gods, being divisible by 1, 2, and of course also 3.

99 season is a *. The whole f-ing thing. Every team, every game. NBA should never played it. I laugh every time thinking about L.Spreewell with the Knicks made it to the finals that year. They were the 8th seed. Spree did not even know who's team he would be on until 2 weeks prior to the start, just like every other free agent.

SA was good team that had few changes that year. They benifitted greatly from that plus Jordan called it quits because of the strike. Some teams did not even have coaches. Durning the strike NBA teams could not do ANYTHING. It was a race to the ring, a 50 game sprint. Spews won.

Duncan is the only player from that team that won rings in the 2000 decade.

The Lakers have never won a Finals where all rounds were 7 game series

The Asterick crap died in '03 when the spurs shut down the whole punch center. That crap used to bother me up until '03 when the spurs finally got the second championship which in return validated the first championship by showing people Drob and Duncan weren't fluke champions. I don't think anybody cares since the spurs have gone above and beyond to prove to the haters that they were no fluke champions by winning 3 more titles after that period of time. I do enjoy placing the asterick on the Lakers '02 championship because it really deserves one whether or not Donaughy is telling the truth I'm glad he brought attention to the game 6 travesty. That was the worst of display of favoritism I have seen in my whole entire life.

I hope the Lakers lose this series because with these allegations its going to sting all summer long having to deal with the asterick talk about your '02 championship and losing this series would be added insult to injury.
