In his defense, I think he thought Gasol was behind him.

A major fuckup nonetheless.

that dude's usually not a bad defender, but that was just pathetic.

EDIT> And then someone on near the bench tried to console him, and the dude threw some kind of hissy fit.

His first mistake was assuming that Gasol being behind him was a good thing. Like Gasol can play defense or something.

Yup, he thought Gasol was there, which he should have been even though you would leave KG, it was deep in the clock. They'll learn.

I laughed out loud when I saw that. What a little bitch.

In his post game interviews, Sasha said he didn't want to get called for a foul because the officials were calling everything on him. Regardless, it's one thing to defend straight up and not trying to foul, and another thing completely to just let Ray Allen walk right past you for an uncontested lay-up. I think in that instance, he did expect help, but it was still atrocious defense.

Had to be the dumbest play I've ever seen. I thought for sure Sasha was going to let Ray go because Gasol would be right there, and Allen would have no choice but to kick it out to Garnett for an air ball. WTF was that Spanish homo doing?

Bill Simmons called it "the best moment of his life" on his game blog. :lol

It was a defensive breakdown...

one of the worst I've seen in a long time. He pretty much said "after you" I don'tk now what he was thinking, but he yelled something as Allen blew by. I don't know if he wanted a bail out or what, but he acted like he wanted to be saved by something.

seriously, how dumb are the Lakers? Knowing what a choker he is, in that situation they should have been trying to funnel it right to KG for a desperation shot. They had the perfect situation, but Gasol didn't look the least bit interested in helping out.

Loved the timeout to top off that blown possession

Lakers make Ray Allen and KG look clutch. Boston went from barely beating the Hawks and Lebron, to one of the most dominant defensive squads for the ages...first team to comeback from a 24 point deficit in NBA Finals History :lmao

KG taking a shot in crunchtime is much better than letting Allen go 1-on-1 with an inexperienced kid like Vujacic who is known to get overagressive and out of position on defense. why do you think Allen waived off KG's pick?

fucking dumbass play.
