Two months had a feeling that Spurs on way to great performance that many unexpected - i.e. predicted Spurs > 15 first game vs. Suns.
That feeling is back and even stronger.
This finally I believe is the game the Spurs have really set their minds to = first of Rodeo, 2x payback etc.
Spurs by 20+. Defensive intensity throughout and payback to Thug Fortson is on Spurs minds.
Out.

Not so fast, Did you enjoy watching your team being in 1st place briefly?
I hope you did , because tomorrow night the Suns are taking back what was rightfully theirs with a little help from Seattle. I'm sure the Sonics will win putting an exclamation mark on a total domination of the Spurs this season.

I think Bruce Bowen will have a good game on both ends of the floor tomorrow.
I think Parker and Manu will both score 20+.
Spurs by 15.

Seattle is 13-9 in its past 22 games after starting the season 17-3.
Seattle is not that hot anymore. The Spurs need to play really well tomorrow so they don't think the Sonics have their number. A Spurs win will be a huge psychological boost if the teams end up meeting in the playoffs.

Spurs don't match up well with the Sonics. I hope the Spurs have been studying their tapes and figuring out how to stop the Sonics early offense, keep Fortson off the boards (and the FT line), and solve the strong perimeter on-ball defense. Sonics double the ball in the backcourt a lot.
Spurs are in for trouble in this game.

The Spurs have been showing up big in huge games lately. The problem is boredom against the bottom teir in the leauge.
Trust me, I think that 15 point margin is conservative. Do not be suprised to see the spurs up by 25 at points in tomorrow nights games. They are doing fucking around with Rashard fucking Lewis and the rest of the Sonics.

Actually what is impressive is the best record in the NBA.
You know, it's one thing to troll around a board of a team that isn't the best, but the Spurs are the best.
What is it you are expecting to prove?

I was sure we were going to beat them @SBC in the second game.
1st quarter was fairly even, Spurs 29 - 31
3rd quarter we beat them bad on both ends, 27 -16.
4th quarter we still outscored them, 28 - 26. (solidly winning the second half)
But the second quarter, the Spur totally disappeared on both ends, Spurs lose 12 - 29, to be down 19 at the half, too deep to escape.
If Ray doesn't plan and the Sonics take Nate's absences for personal reasons as a motivation, the Sonics have plenty of bombers left to do the job.
The Spurs have plenty of motivation against Sonics, and should have much more confidence with the huge Spurs road wins since the loss to the loss to the Sonics @SBC.
One thing that won't work against Sonics is to play mediocre defense for 3 quarters, then try to save the game by playing tough defense in the 4th. How about turning that around, and shutting them down in the 1st quarter, and let the Sonics play catch up the rest of the game, then slam the hammer again in the 4th?
Taking a real risk here, whoever wins the first quarter, wins the game.

I've got everyone of the IGNOREd (and plenty of "fans", too). My forum experience is still useful, and a lot more pleasant.

I for one am really excited about this game. I’ll be there front and center... in the upper deck... and more towards the back really... and sort of off to the side. OK, so I can’t afford decent seats, but I’m still excited. I’m not going to do a full in-depth analysis, but I will say the Sonics match up well against the Spurs, as they’ve proven twice so far this season. While they have cooled down somewhat, they’re still a danger. If Allen, Lewis, or Radmanovich get hot, it could get ugly for the Spurs quick. The Spurs can struggle with perimeter defense, which could be deadly against a good three point shooting team. Plus, the Spurs still struggle with freethrows, sometimes quite badly. The Sonics’ bigs are pretty much walking foul dispensers, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a sort of "Hack a Timmy" down the stretch if it’s close. This game could go either way, depending on too many variables to list, so I’ll just sit back and watch the show.
I still haven’t decided who to cheer for by the way. The first two games I was pulling for the Spurs, but the craptacular rotations and uneven play took it’s toll on me. I’m leaning towards the Sonics at the moment, but I guess it comes down to rotations, defensive intensity and cheap plays (Fortson - Bowen). Ah well, as long as both teams play hard I’ll be happy.

Enjoy the game, Gerryatrics. Any seat is a good seat when you are AT an NBA game (unless you get behind a person with a giant, Foam Finger).
I agree that the Spurs don't match up well with the Sonics. Interesting perspective on the "cheap plays". I'm not sure of your definition of "cheap" but the game should be a battle royale.

Now now all you children, it was just a prediction, some will be right and some will be wrong (in LakerGods case most are, but as a statistical probablitistic fact = blind luck will probably prevail for him sometime - good teams lay eggs all the time in the NBA in a long season.). If we all were right all the time we should move to Los Vegas and build gold casinos.
Bottom line is worst case Spurs leave 36 and 11 still a fine record = but that is very doubtful.
By the way, LakerGod talk all you want about road record but historically Spurs slow starter in that regard then really turn it on.
This year already doing it at home threatening NBA record pace, if they get hot on road as expected from now on = this team will move into uncharted waters for wins in season + the 16 they are going to get in the playoff.
However, logically, Spurs will win this game = simply a better team than Sonics and have a definite reason to pay them back.

You are so stupid it's incredible. I didn't say 9 for 32; I said 9-32. It's not a shooting percentage, it's wins and losses.
If you didn't realize 9-32 is the exact reverse of the Spurs record, 32-9.
I was merely pointing out that you never think the Spurs will win.
And don't question me about deleting any of your stupid threads, you are lucky I allow you to post here. The only reason I do is because you apparently get some kind of pleasure out of posting on a Spurs forum and propping other teams, even though you bring no substance to the table and don't even have anything to say about your own losing team. I realize that you probably have no life, so allowing you to continue to post here is like my personal philanthropy project.
I think lakergod needs to be reminded of this. He didn't show his face for quite some time since this one!!
