How about a hand for KG for his Nick Anderson impersonation tonight http://www.emoticonzone.com/msn-emotions/animated/clap.gif

I'm starting to think Garnett will singlehandedly choke this shit away.

Man, I hope Rivers will bench him in the 4th.

Because Hack-a Garnett could work !

Garnett is a great player, but he has never been and never will be clutch. There was an alarming statistic on 82games.com about how his FG % drops 13% in "clutch situations" (inside of 5 minutes, neither team up or down by 5 points) and his FT % drops 12-13% as well. This was in the regular season of course, but it is a sign that Garnett does feel pressure. He wasn't very impressive in game 7 of the Cavs series either and again tonight missed some crucial free throws. Never the less, I think Pierce as the #1 option will bail him out for a somewhat mediocre series by his lofty standards.

KG better not win the Finals MVP if the Celtics win.

You don't need to worry about that happening.

James Posey has a better chance at winning the Finals MVP than KG.

Sometimes I'd even say that Dirk is more clutch than KG ..:dizzy

And KG was pretty shitty in game 7 against the Cavs too. He should be doing better against Gasoft. Maybe at home.

Dirk > KG. KG will add a ring but he has been outed as a vastly overrated player. He's basically a homeless man's version of the poor man's version of David Robinson -- but the female version.

I think after all that, that still insults David Robinson.

he has to clear his throat after every close game coz that's where his balls are hiding.

Even Vinny Del Negro had to be yelling `KG's a pussy` at his TV tonight.

Garnett
Webber
Malone

I'm not sure who's the worst when the game is on the line.

League of Klutz.

Ah, so you're saying there are many leagues, KG just happened to be assigned to the wrong one.

Similarly . . .

Sam Bowie, Bill Walton, Shaun Livingston: League of Crutch

Rik Smits, Francisco Elson: League of Dutch

Butch Carter, Butch Beard, Butch Van Breda Kolff :League of Butch

Oliver Miller, Charles Barkley, Beno Udrih: League of Munch

Wilt Chamberlain: League of Cooch

It's funny because suddenly his "don't fuck with me BIATCH or I'll stomp you" (or someting like that) attitude dissipated at the very moment he went to the line. No more screaming or taunting; we saw what was really behind that facade of toughness/badassness. Unbelievable. How many fucking times will this guy fade under pressure?

To answer my own question: Not as many times as Gasol, which is the reason the Celts win the series.

I get what you're saying, but how many cocky, boastful players scream and pound their chests as they go to the line and prepare to shoot free throws?

Ummmm, Dirk is more clutch than KG. Way more, dont' disrespect my boy like that. Dirk has a 50 point playoff game, 28/15 averages in game 7, and multiple game winners under his belt along with ranking 3rd or 4th in "clutch stats" according to 82games.com

JamStone

One. KG.

You just said he didn't.

He doesn't. He may scream as he gets fouled. And, he may talk to himself at the line. But, like the majority of players, KG doesn't scream at the line. He calms down and focuses like every other player.

KG has proven to be horrible in the clutch. We see that. It's obvious. I just think your example to show that is a poor one.

Your observations are different from mine then. When I see him, he screams.

I highly doubt KG screams before shooting his freethrows. But i could be wrong.
