I know im a die hard bulls fan and a big fan of Michael Jordan but this is ridiculous.... Michael Jordan's Championship clinching shot in game 6 of the 1998 NBA Finals vs John Paxosn's Championship clinching three in game 6 of the 1993 finals... The bulls were down 2 for gods sake and it takes a lot of pressure and courage to hit a three when the title is on the line.....

As though MJ's shot didn't?

As though MJ's shot didn't?

MJ had many options, he could have drove to a layup, shoot a jumper, or even a three, the 1993 Bulls needed a three to win the game.... More pressure there

MJ had to beat a guy off the dribble and shoot the jumpshot.
Paxson had a completely open 3.

Jordan made that shot possible by his penetration to afford Paxson that wide open three.

Michael Jordan's championship clinching shot in 1998 = Steve Kerrs championship clinching shot in 1997.... Infact they shot from the same exact place on the court...

'98 easily. If they lose that game, Utah wins game 7 with Pippen incapacitated.

it was a catch-and-shoot. anyone else could have been on that spot when grant passed the ball. i would say you have a point if paxson held on to the ball for a couple of seconds before shooting it.

that was steve kerr. the paxson three was on a fast break. pippen passed the ball to grant, who, in turn, passed it back out to paxson.

besides it was either tie(had grant decided to shoot it himself), or a win. if they did end up losing that game, the bulls still had a good opportunity to win game 7.

they were both in game 6's, so its not like if either of them missed it, it would have been the end of the world.

the difference is Jordan made it look easy, like "oh just another gamewinning shot from Jordan. what else is new?" people weren't exactly expecting Paxson to be the one taking that shot. if anything, it just testifies even further to Jordan's greatness, the fact that it was simply expected from him that he his big pressure shots like that.

both shots were a lot of pressure, but Jordan actually had to create his by first getting the steal on the other end then "creating space" :lol to get his shot off. Paxson's was just a wide open 3.

both were great shots. Jordan's is extra special because he finished his Bulls career by hitting a GW shot to win his final championship.

Did you see the way Pippen looked in that game? There was no way he'd have been able to do anything in a game 7. Chicago probably loses by 15 or 20 in a game 7. Sloan wouldn't have been stupid enough to not double Jordan constantly two games in a row with an ineffective Pippen. Utah was seriously a Karl Malone turnover away from winning the championship.
