Are they still mad about what happened in '84 when they thought stern was cheating them to giving the title to L.A??

Haven't you ever watched the draft? I've never seen Stern in front of a crowd where he didn't get booed. And he especially deserved it this year in the wake of the ongoing ref scandal.

Because he didn't decide that he wanted Wade to win until the 4th quarter of Game 3.

As much as I hate the Mavs, they did represent by booing the fuck out of Stern when Miami beat them to win the title. The Mavs got a good ass raping by the refs in that series....much like we also did against the Mavs in the playoffs that year.

And the Rockets in 2005.

You know, on the subject of Boston fans, they put every other home crowd to shame last night. Any crowd can get the "M-V-P" chant going, but they were bringing the house down on the Lakers BAD in the fourth quarter. I know it was probably prompted by the Garden's entertainment department but they kept that "Good-bye" song going for a long fucking time. And the "Se-ven-teen!" chants were great as well.

If that was the Lakers at home in a clincher game and they were up 20-30-40 points in the game, their fans would be so bored with a huge blowout that they'd be texting on their Blackberrys or talking to each other about how much their lipo bill was.

I think GS took the cake fan wise the previous season, even if they consisted of the largest bandwagon ever assembled.

they should feel grateful to this guy who didn't dare punishing KG for pushing refs and made this finals possible. It wouldn't have happened in any other universe.

yeah the refs are responsible for your team getting curbstomped by 40 in game 7.

because the refs screwed the Rockets out of the series by one call in Game 5. especially when they got curbstomped by 40 in Game 7.

if they got the right call on Finley, does that mean your team eventually goes on to lose Game 7 by only 30 points?

one missed call, after about 40 missed moving screen violations on Yao in games 1 and 2. I dont think anyone in the league gets away with setting more moving screens in the league than Yao Ming, except maybe KG, after seeing him get away with like 4 moving screens in one sequence the other night.

Looks like the refs & David Stern really wanted to help out Mark Cuban since they have such a good relationship.

if they called the Yao moving screens properly from the start of Game 1, Mavs win that series in 5.

I never agreed with make up calls. I think it's Bullshit. It makes the suspicions warranted because they are in part opportunistically planned.

Don't forget it was reported that when Kobe took his freethrows they chanted "You're... NOT... JORDAN!" :lmao
I was really impressed with the "Good-bye" song, I thought that was pretty cool how they got that one going, and it must have sucked to be on that Laker bench. They really know how to amp their players up, even their garbage players got to do reverse alley oop slam dunks. Pretty cool championship game for them.

On the flip side, LA fans were fucking garbage. So much for star power.

Duh! They were booing Stern --and rightfully so-- for his arrogant, stubborn, condescending mishandling of the officiating and the Tim Donaghy flap. Instead of making changes and trying to fix the problem, Stern's entire approach has been to deny that there's really anything wrong. He won't admit there's a problem, and instead thinks the solution is to fix the fans. He routinely mocks the fans for believing there's anything wrong with the officiating. He's a straight-up jackass.

Make-up calls are total bullshit. What's the thinking when a ref calls one of those make-up calls? Is it: "Oh fuck, I made a bullshit call ... I know how to fix it, I'll make another bullshit call! That will fix things!"

Wrong. Just increases the total of bullshit.

I imagine the majority of commissioners get booed when they present championship trophies because fans are never satisfied with what any particular commissioner is doing, regardless if they really deserve it or not. Plus, most commissioners start off a trophy presentation by congratulating the losing team. I wasn't paying that close of attention, but I would guess that they started really booing when Stern started out by congratulating the Lakers as a worthy Finals opponent.

LOL 1/2 through that I was thinking WTF!? Ya, he's not popular in those parts. Maybe he won't get boooed in Oklahomo for the 1st couple games after the sonics get transfered.

As a Baylor fan and a Jason Terry hater, I have to say that video starts out with a completely clean block and a voiceover by someone who clearly didn't watch the replay. When even I'm not biased enough to buy the first clip in the video, I didn't bother to watch the rest of it. Finley was way out of bounds on that save, but the Rockets had their chances and blew it. Then again, I don't think the Spurs got jobbed all that bad by the refs. It's hard to play interior defense when Finley is your power forward.

I'm done defending David Stern after they pulled all the 2002 game 6 vids from Youtube. Those are certainly the actions of someone with something to hide.
