Rajon Rondo did a great job during the Finals and with 21 points, eight assists and seven rebounds in Tuesday's victory he's my game 6 MVP...
He's a top 5 PG and deserve a lot of credits in the Boston victory.

Not in my opinion. He isn't better than Paul, Willams, Parker, Nash or Kidd. There are other point guards i'd take over him besides those five. For instance, Mike Bibby or even (and I cannot stand him) Starbury. He may not even crack the top ten for my preferred floor generals.

No way the guy is top 10, but he certainly has the potential to be. I like what I've seen from the kid thus far. :tu

Rondo cannot conceivably crack anyone's "top 5 PG's" list. TOp 10.. MAYBE.

Yep. But I'll take a solid PG over a star PG any day. Star PG's don't win championships. If I am not mistaken, Avery Johnson is still the best assist averaged PG to win a title since DJ.
You just need a PG who plays D and makes solid decisions. Not flashy ones. Not a guard that dominates the ball.

He has heart, definitely a championship role player. He's already a rebounding fiend, all he needs to do is work on his O in the summer .

if he will just work more on his perimeter and outside shooting, then he could be in the top 10..hehe

he's definitely not top 5, maybe not even top 10. but i highly doubt he'll get owned by any of those top pgs.
Rondo was trying to pull off the "Tim Duncan Clincher Game" but due to concerns of the vertical kind, substituted steals instead of blocks.

FAIL!! Rondo is not a top 5 point guard. Paul, Nash, Kidd, D. Williams, T. Parker are all better than Rondo hell fuckin Andre Miller is better than Rondo

No way he's a top 5 PG. However, he's still developing and is good for their squad.

LOL @ Bibby>Rondo. You do know there is this thing called defense that is important to winning or did you just buy into the offense means everything garbage that led to everyone at ESPN picking the Lakers over the Celtics? What did Bibby average against Rondo in these playoffs; 10 points and 4 assists per game on 33% shooting? I seem to recall it being something like that. Bibby sucks now.
Jameer Nelson, thanks for the laugh. Jamal Crawford? This is a rate the point guards thread, not the biggest chuckers thread. Jamal Crawford is no point guard.
That said, he's clearly not top 5 and probably not even top 10 yet. He's improved a lot this year and he'll be a stud down the line, but he's still inconsistent (like most 22 year olds) and needs to continue to improve that outside shot.
