I'm inclined to say...YES! That team is not good. I said it during the WC Finals and I'll say it again now. Pau Gasol at center? Lamar Odom at power forward? Derek Fisher at the point? VladRad at small forward? These guys SUCK! They are a "One and Done!" conference champion team if I've ever seen one!

GO BLAZERS!

I think the 1990 and 1992 Blazers are tied for that distinction.

Hmmm, that was a very good point Flo-Rida. I mean, at first I agreed with the initial post, then I read that gem and was like, "man, that Flo-Rida really knows his stuff, I'm going to agree with him from here on out".

this Laker team sucks. ive been saying it. makes me even more upset that the Spurs lost to these suckas in 5.

had manu been 80-90% we wouldve beat these guys in 5 or 6.

too bad he was like 40%

Defensively the Lakers were pretty bad, but their offense was a juggernaut that could only be stopped by one team in this league.

It's not like the Spurs were consistently giving up over 100 a game against the Lakers "vaunted" offense. They were just fortunate the Spurs had one of their worst offense teams in the Duncan era, no one outside of the big 3 (2 in the WCF) could shoot a decent percentage or create their own shoot...

Nothing was guaranteed even with a healthy Manu with the inept role players the Spurs had this year.

of course nothing is guaranteed but after watching the pathetic team play of the lakers last night it really makes you think

Nope, the Celtics are just that good. If they had been playing like that during the start of the playoffs they would not have lost a game.

the spurs problem this year was scoring...if you d is great and you can't score the ball, you won't win many games.

Nope. Except for that one great game by Brent Barry, this was the worst group of role players the Spurs have had since they drafted Tim. They wouldn't have beaten the Lakers even with a healthy Manu.

Dude give it a rest already. Is this gonna be your excuse forever? "IF" Manu was healthy? "IF the spurs werent tired" I mean come on everyteam could use a what if excuse. Injurys happen. Let it go.....

Game plans vary from team to team my friend. Your statement is highly improbable. Multiple players on the others teams they've played aside from Cleve have multiple scorers. What happened to Cleve basically happened to LA, just worse.

'81 Rockets are by far the worst WC champion of the modern era.

No way dude. The Celtics are not that good. They have Kendrick Freaking Perkins starting at center! Rondo will improve, but he leaves a lot to be desired as a starting point guard at this point in his career. I don't like their bench either.

Some of the pre-merger WC Finalists really sucked too. I assume we aren't counting them as modern era? I have to agree with you about the Rockets, though.

Yeah... the Lakers of the 60s and the 76 Suns were pretty awful.

That team had a legit stud in Moses Malone. I'd put the '76 Suns below the '81 Rockets.

I don't care about the pre-merger NBA. That league was garbage.

With AB coming back and a full season for the team to gel together the Lakers will be right back in the WCF barring serious injury to Kobe. And they will beat the Spurs again should they face them.

They gave up the biggest comeback in Finals history, and then they got anally pillaged in the closeout game. So yes

Why do people think New Orleans is so good? I'm scared of the Jazz and Lakers WAY more than the Hornets.
