:bang:bang:bang
It was downright embarrassing. I knew at some point we were going to lose anyway (I was hoping it would be in a game 7). But to lose by forty and even at one point allow the Celts to go up by as many as 45 not only made me wanna puke but throw empty beer bottles at a group of tourists who are from New Jersey rooting for Boston. They were talking smack all over the place. Its a good thing they left just before the third quarter. :rolleyes:rolleyes:rolleyes
And now for the future of the Lake Show. If drastic changes aren't made, there is no way we can even get back to the Finals. Odom is just plain soft and inconsistent. So is Pau Gasol. Two very soft sticks that are even scared to take a charge!!! WTF!!! And Kobe with all his trash-talking in the 1st Q -- muttering pointless remarks as "sorry, not tonite!!! not tonite!!!" Shaking his head. Waving the finger. A couple of hours later, he was sobbing like a punk=ass guinea pig!!! Right! The MVP? So where does he stand against MJ now? And Phil, man oh man! Yes! The effing zen master who was outcoached by newbie Doc Rivers. The stupid substitutions like Walton for Radmanovic? Vujacic for Fisher in a close 4th in game 5? We were lucky to win game 5 imho. The two wins we had all came down to the final 3 mins.
WE COULD'VE BEEN SWEPT!!!
If we got Pau for free I guess Lamar has to be given away for free!!! I still can't fathom the f*ck going to a bar at midnight after game 5 with a 7 AM wake up call and a 9 AM cross-country flight to Boston!!! I am at work right now and all of us are still angry. Angry that we didn't go down swinging. Angry that the pain of 2004 has resurfaced!!!
Angry that I need to wait another 135 days before another season starts. And angry that since 2003, no other Western power has brought the LOB to the West other than your San Antonio Spurs.

If you switch to a Spurs fan now, no one could call you a bandwagoner since the Lakers beat us.
Spurs are really good in odd years. Come join the potential party. :)

A couple of questions for you, my man.
1. Do you really believe that your team quit?
2. I couldn't for sure because his back was turned to the camera, but thought I saw the Mamba crying. Am I mistaken? Did you have another vantage point?

it surprises me that so many NBA analysts are saying that the Lakers will be the best in the west for many years to come. i dont think this is true at all. im sure people will say they "overachieved" but what i saw last night was not a team that forced 6 games but a team that shouldve gotten swept when they went against a very good team. a couple of things the Lakers lack.
1. Defense obviously. Phil Jackson has never been a defensive minded coach. i think he has been fortunate to have defensive minded players but he cant coach great team defense like a Thibadeau or Popovich. Hes an offensive minded coach who needs an assistant coach to teach great team defense.
2. Toughness. Gasol will be blamed mostly in this aspect but hes not the only one to be blamed. being tough isnt necessarily roughing up your opponent or screaming like a Garnett or not afraid to give hard fouls like a Posey. Being tough is not getting rattled. Being tough is playing killer defense. Sure toughness can also be physical with you opponents but mostly its playing hard nose defense without getting in foul trouble.
Im sorry Laker fans but Bynum will not solve these problems all by himself. Sure hes a great talent but he has proved nothing in the clutch or hasnt shown he can remain healthy a full season playing 30-35 minutes a game every game in the regular season.Sure they will be back in the mix next year again in the playoffs, but if they play a defenseive juggernaut early like the Spurs or Hornets. they might be leaving eary again.
Odom has to go...he has never, at any point, been comfortable in PJ's offense. I think Pau is still a good asset, but he needs a physical presence along side him. I think Laker fans are hoping Bynum will come back, but you just never know with knee injuries.
The Celtics exposed the Lakers soft frontline, and I believe the Lakers were badly outrebounded all series.

Everybody always cries about Odom and Gasol being soft, but last night it was the great Kobe Bryant that seemed soft to me. His teammates had to leave their men repeatedly to close out on his man shooting 3's, and every time it was too late, because Kobe was either too lazy to move his ass or was wandering around like an idiot. All game long this lazy bitch did absolutely nothing for his team, except for the first half of the first quarter when he got lucky with a string of 3's.

I love Odom as a player. Tall, not a bad defender, reasonably quick for his size, can post up or drift out to the three point line and pop a 3, decent ball handler...wonder how he'd do in the Spurs system? He played very well with Duncan in 2004

This guy is not a Laker fan. Probably a Mav fan or Spur troll in disguise to rile up the Laker fans that post here.
From reading the majority of his posts he almost never has anything positive to say about the Lakers. Everything is about the Lakers being soft and Bynum being a bust.
Just do us all a favor and jump to the Spurs bandwagon. They have no shortage of whiny ass fans making excuses for why their team lost. You'd fit right in.
