I guess everybody who's doubting my views has really never gone outside the North side and experienced San Antonio's deep diverse Mexican American Hispanic Culture.

I grew up in the hood........ southside, but I'm a first generation Mexican immigrant descending from Northern Mexico from a lower class family. My mom may not be the smartest of women, she only has 3rd grade education but is one of the hardest working and nicest individuals you will come across. I didn't turn out to be a thug.I'm just about to graduate from UTSA with BA in Kinesiology. My Sister is a teacher at a southside high school and my brother a Tejano/Norteno musician. My point is your kids are a bi product of their parents. My mom kept us sheltered from all the negativity and always emphasized education(even though she didn't have any) dignity, hard work, etc. She also kept our hormones in check...lol I glad she did that or else we probably would of fucked up. A lot of parents in the southside/westside.....just don't stress education enough to their kids, especially to the young Mexican American ladies. We have the highest teenage pregnancy rates in the nation. It's like that chris Rock saying, "if your daughter turns out to be a stripper.......you know you fucked up as a parent".
