To all High School Baseball Fans in San Antonio

The 25th annual Valley Hi Optimist All Star Baseball Game will be on Saturday, June 21st, 2008. This game will be played on the campus of St. Mary's University at V.J. Keefe Memorial Stadium, at 6:00 p.m. 40 of the top High School Baseball players in San Antonio and the surrounding area will be playing in this game. Many have committed to area universities and colleges.
Included are Express News Super Team selections Roger Bernal of Brackenridge, Ory Kalenkosky of Marshall. Also on the West Roy Branch of John Jay, Jeremy Ayala of South San, Hector Flores of John Jay, Jose Cortez of John Jay, Gilbert Contrerras of McCollum, Josh McElroy of O'connor, Robert Benavides, Matt Fox, Johnny Garcia, all from Pleasanton, Headling the East lineup will be Steele's Billy Richard, the area's leading stolen base leader this season, Madison third baseman Taylor Gesell and Blanco outfielder Ross McCormick. This is the only All Star game in San Antonio coached by San Antonio High School Coaches. East Head Coach is Eric Forestier - Harlendale High School. West Head Coach is Glynn Tschirhart - Southwest High School. All-Stars Baseball Chairman & Head Coach is Johnny Campos - John Jay High School. Note former New Braunfels standout Lance Berkman played in this game along with many former San Antonio Baseball greats. Thank You for your support of San Antonio High School Baseball.
