In regards to the dunk/3 pt shootout? I've seen the dates for the ASG starters and reserves but not these. I think its disgusting that Voshon Lenord is lobbying to be in the 3pt shootout. Its important enough for him to risk his injury trying to shoot 3's?

Also, who decides on 3pt/dunk competitors?

What else does Voshon Lenard really have to look forward to? He plays for a team that considers Carmelo Anthony it's franchise.....

Last year they were announced on Feb 4th and the reserves were announced on Feb 3rd. I don't know this year's timeline.

I can't remember exactly what happaned but didn't he tear a tendon/acl/ something in his leg or ankle? Its not like its a FT contest where he doesn't need to get lift. That would be good for his career.

He torn his achilles in the season opener and is out for the year. I don't think players on IR can participate in the events.

Craig Hodges got into the 3 point contest one year, even though he was out of the league, under a defending champion theory. Guess that's Voshon's leg to stand on here (pun intended).

If they let Voshon in, why not just invite all willing retired champions to come back and give it a shot?? Tim Legler can come down from the "know-all" world of the broadcasting booth and jack up some bombs along with Steve Kerr, Jeff Hornacek, Glen Rice, Mark Price, Hodges, Dale Ellis, and Larry Bird.
