Hey, he can't be worse than Francisco Elson who cracked the rotation.

Get the Five-O on the squad for the O-Nine.

cant be worse than Horry.

5-0 can still contribute.

thoughts?

If not for that bad back.....

He was a tremendous athlete and he could still do something out there even with a bad back.

DR was my favorite player and the reason that I became a Spurs fan. He had the perfect ending written to his script. Why on earth would you want to write a sequel just to see him "contribute" as a shell of his former self? You're just being selfish now. Just let me remember #50 as he was please.:flag:

Five Oh is way smarter than Jordan. He'll never come back. He has his family to raise and the Carver to oversee.

It was fun watching him during the all star break, but he's hugely out of shape. I don't know how useful he could be, particularly since back problems don't really go away.

Perfect.....as a mentor for Ian Mahinmi.

Not gonna happen.

Basketball was not his main love, and I bet life for him is better, in his mind, than it was any time during he was playing. Probably in less pain, no training camp, no back to back late nights while flying.

Pipe dream. Hes gone. Move on.

He would be a shell of his old self... it would be kinda sad seeing him struggle out there and just sitting on the bench for most games.

Since his dad didn't grow to NBA size until after he was in college, I think we'll have to wait a while before we find out.

How about bringing 5-0 a new back?

Who the hell calls him "five-0"? Unless you call him by his actual name the ONLY other name anyone is allowed to call him is "The Admiral". SHOW SOME FUCKING RESPECT!

Most of his teammates called him that. AJ still calls him that. Before you ascend to your position as chief of the respect police you might try to learn a little about your team. :rolleyes

How the fuck could you possibly know that? Unless you spend most of your day researching and studying the chemistry and relationships of past Spurs teams.

I hear that Gervin guy isn't doing much these days. Maybe he can slip into our swing rotation.

Do you ever listen to Sean's telecasts? He often refers to Dave as Five Oh, you douchebag.

I've simply been a Spurs fan who pays attention. I've heard AJ, Mario Elie, AD, Jack and Elliott call him that and I remember an interview with AJ where he said that five-oh is David's nickname on the team. I don't recall anyone telling them that they must refer to him as David or The Admiral.

i think we have enough big players who shine the pine already....meaning no disrepect to david....also why on earth would david want to work for pop again....everyword that comes out of pops mouth disturbs davids thoughts....besides his back injury, imo it was pop who shortened davids career...everyone knows you dont cuss around david, this is a dreamers thread....and people must dream because its healthy...go spurs go
