I know there is a quarter left and this could be a flameout if Sonics make a big move late, but Spurs are rolling as predicted.

By the way, where is LakerGod?

Who of us would not have been happy over the following:

Suns on Road = check
Kings x 2 = check
Sonics = going down tonight bad = check

NEXT (Heat)

And no complaining from Sonics fans due to Allen out - Sonics were supposed to be this deep, deep team.

The truth = this Spurs team is just that good.

You wouldn't use say ohhhh, Duncan being out as an excuse for a loss to another Top 5 NBA team?

Don't get cocky. The truth is that this would have been a different game with Ray Allen on the floor. But a win is a win so I'll take it.

Yah we're gonna have to deal w/ this shit now that our only win so far against the sonics is when Allen and their coach is gone ... should we point out that TD and a few of our members were feeling rather ill during the beginning of the season?

using facts gets you accused of being a homer and not being objective, just go with em and say this win sucks, Allen wouldve beat the Spurs.

A dominant win on road vs. whoever in the NBA is enough. When Duncan went down last year Manu went off and Spurs played tough losing by 2 or so to Lakers and Mavs. Great teams play tough through adversary.

Even middle of road teams often play great when players are down at least in short run, i.e, Philly beat the Mavs even without AI the other night, Lakers after Kobe went down beat Cleveland etc. and Pacers hung tough first few games after fight.

Sonics are a a pretty fair but in my mind dramatically over-hyped team but time will tell, they seem to be slipping back pretty fast (I believe 13 and 10 last 23 games). after blazing start.

Don't be suprised to see Kings and Dallas have better records at end of season (even though first round seeds will still be 1-3 on division, home game at least in later rounds by records).

The coach...? Come on... was there a big thing about the Pistons not being as whenever Larry Brown missed a game? How about the Spurd earlier this season when Pop was thrown out. A coach not being there is never an excuse... never.

I dont know if Ray Allen wouldve helped tonight.

The Spur's defense was suffocating, and the perimter guys played awesome.

Ridenour, Lewis, and Murray couldnt hit squat all night.

Great job by Bowen Parker GInobili and others.

Ginobili IMO wouldve held Ray Allen in check slightly with the D he had tonight.

Spurs overall record vs. some of good to great teams in League (legit title threats); if I missed any games let me know.

Suns 2 and 0
Sonics 1 and 2
Dallas 3 and 0
Kings 3 and 1
Wolves 1 and 0
Heat 1 and 0
Pacers 1 and 0
Pistons 1 and 0

13 and 3 DOMINANT and in teams like Cleveland, Washington and the record is something like 17 and 3 - very, very stout! Even if you put Houston in there it is something still gaudy = 17 and 5.

Spurs on way to another title mark it down now. By the way how wierd is it not to consider LA a top team?????

Did you see that weird stat on KRRT during the game about the Spurs losing more games to teams under .500 than over .500?

Rummpd
02-01-2005, 01:07 AM
I believe that is true, that why this team is built for playoffs, now if we played in East might have to face a sub 500 team!

Spurs need to step up their mentality against the lesser teams.

If that stat was concerning the Spurs, then it was wrong. It said 12-4 for >.500 teams, and 18-8 for <.500 teams.

That adds up to 12 losses.
