Are Wolves And Bobcats Discussing Morrison Swap?
Jun 23, 2008 5:09 PM EST

With trade rumors swirling as the 2008 NBA Draft approaches, the Timberwolves might be entertaining the idea of sending the third overall pick to the Bobcats for shooter Adam Morrison and the ninth selection, according to a report in The Pioneer Press.

Minnesota decided not to comment on the deal early Monday morning.

Who would most likely be the 3rd pick anyway?

I'd say OJ.

WTF? Why would the T'Wolves want Morrison? I would think Morrison had negative value.

Never underestimate the stupidity of Kevin McHale.

The Wolves need interior help and Brook Lopez is a big reach at #3...if they can pick up a longer perimeter player and add Lopez at #9 it makes sense.

Not sure why the Bobcats would need another guard, but maybe Jordan likes the cut of OJ's jib.

Maybe they really are looking to move J-Rich.

+100 Morrison is fucking horrible. Maybe Minnesota is forcing a horrible contract in return, and will cut Morrsion after this year?

Minnesota has enough diminutive guards. Understanding that OJ Mayo may be a good down-the-road pick, all he can do right now is score....and they already have McCants and Foye to fill that role.

I'm not saying Morrison is a great pickup, but if the big the T-Wolves want will be available at #9, what do they lose by trading down?

Their courtside fans clawing their eyes out on live TV watching Morrsion chuck up 25 shots to score 21 points every night?

Because of his knee he would be gamble for every team. If the Bobcats manage to trade him and get the 3rd pick in return it's a great deal. The backcourt of the Wolves isn't exactly great. With the third pick a better player should be available - but considering they might want a pick around 10-15 this trade is the only option.

Still, I would feel that the Wolves would be screwed...
