According Sports Illustrated, in 1997 Wofford coach Richard Johnson, whose well-overmatched team would face Duncan and the Demon Deacons the following day, told his players: "Let me tell you guys about who you're playing tomorrow. Someday your six-year-old kid will ask you for a Tim Duncan jersey for Christmas. This is your chance to play a future NBA Hall of Famer, your turn to face the greatest player any of you will ever meet."

Hey duncan 228, do you have the quote from Ron Artest, where he called Duncan a pimp? Because that quote is the SHIT.

You guys are making me work for it. :lol

I think it was this game, I'm not completely sure.
I don't have the box score with Duncan's line but here's what I do have.

January 29, 1997

68-51 Wake Forest
It was the first game in 114 that Duncan didn't block a shot.

Duncan had 10 points.

If anyone has more info please share. It's fun getting a question on Duncan that I don't have an easy answer for. :)

Thanks for the easy one. :)

Ron Artest on Tim Duncan

"I remember one time Kevin Garnett was mushing him, and shoving him in the face; and Tim Duncan didn't do anything, he didn't react. He just kicked Kevin Garnett's ass, and won the damn championship. You know what I'm sayin'? That's gangsta. Everybody can show emotion, dunk on somebody, scream and be real cocky; but Tim Duncan is a ... he's a pimp."

Ha, go Timmy D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

... but KG is still cool, I guess. I like his game, just not how he screams about everything. He probably goes nuts over someone passing him a Powerade.

KG is probably the most overrated 'superstar' in the NBA right now. He should get on his knees and thank McHale for doing the Celts a favor and giving him away and he should thank Paul Pierce for carrying his @ss during the playoffs. He always sucks in the clutch, yells about everything and needed 2 hall of famers to get him a title. Frankly, he couldn't carry Tim's jockstrap.

Only when it's gatorade, and it's the only liquid his body can process. That's why his sweat is green.
