I really don't think I get that many breaks from the officials, and not just because I'm a rookie. I'm used to not getting calls. When I started playing I never got them because I was bigger and stronger than the other kids. I never worried about it. But I have always hated the inconsistency. If I've got four guys hammering at me and no foul is called, then fine. I can take it. That's because the NBA plans to start levying fines against players who over-dramatize after incidental contact, according to ESPN.com. The website says the league will have in-game arena observers and video reviewers keeping track of the theatrics next season, although exact amounts of the fines for flopping haven't been determined yet.

NBA VP Stu Jackson confirmed the new policy last night, telling ESPN.com's Marc Stein that the fines will be "for the most egregious type of flops."

"When players are taking a dive, for lack of a better term," Jackson said.
