A fire swept through a North Side apartment building Thursday morning.
The fire started around 7:30 a.m. at the Burning Tree Apartments in the 14,400 block of Jones Maltsberger, south of Thousand Oaks.
At one point 22 fire units were dispatched to fight the flames. The fire destroyed at least 2 units at the complex and several others were damaged by smoke and water.
Four families who lived in the apartment building will now need to find another place to live.
No injuries were reported. Firefighters rescued several pets who were inside the burning building.
