What is the most comfortable basketball shoe and where can I buy it/try it?

That depends on what you consider to be a comfortable basketball shoe.

Do you like high tops? Canvas or leather?

Price range?

For my talent level, I just buy what I like and can afford.

Converse All Stars

Ouch, I know you dont hoop in those.. Thats like playing with a tortilla wrap on your feet. Your feet are very important and I recommend double socks for one, and then a pair of Air Max nikes.. Champs, Foot Locker, Foot Action.. North Star Mall.

I don't care about price really. Well, say under $200. I just want a comfortable shoe that's doesn't leave me blistered at the end of a tourney. I will try those places nacho. The only thing about them is that they sometimes don't have my size. Depending on the shoe/brand 14 1/2 to 16.

uhhh...I think the technical answer would be that there is no "one" comfortable shoe...

different brands/styles support different kinds of feet in different ways...there are tons of different fits in the heel, waist, ball, toe and arch depending on your feet, stance, accomodating pronation etc...

more importantly if money is no object is to get a knowledgeable and professional salesperson who knows the product lines and will work to find the perfect shoe for you...

I personally wear New Balance because of the bazillion different styles for different feet and the trained salespeople...

I know a certain foot doc that highly recommends New Balance. Plus, they are one of the few shoes that come in multiple widths.

My dad was an awesome basketball player when he was in high school in the 50s. In every picture of him and his teamates, they were wearing Converse. Of course, that was probably their only choice of shoe.

I love new balance, and they also make many of them in the US.

Socks are important too. I get blistes on my feet after playing unless I have on cushioned socks. Once they get older and thin out, I won't use them.

I had a pair of New Balance and they killed my feet. I don't know, I guess I just have to try a bunch on and then get a refund if they don't work.

Its not really the shoes that are giving you blisters, your socks are. Buy socks that are made out of coolmax or duramax material. The friction between your shoes and feet cause blisters and cotton socks kill you. Buy those socks and any decent pair of shoe will do, trust me.

Yeah, I find it has to do with my socks more than shoes as well.

Under 200? Damn just by the Jordan XIX's then, they're 159.99. Or you can try the shoes I'm wearing right now; And1 Ballistix or the Adidas Pro Model 2G or the Adidas D-Cool mid.

I sometimes put vaseline between my toes if I'm going on a long run to prevent any blisters.

Look like they would get dirty easily and then never come clean. For that reason I almost always get black shoes.

I don't care if they get dirty. I just want comfort first and durability second.

Adidas D-Cool Mid are comfy and durable and plus they let air ventilate through the shoe so it doesn't stink as much.

New balance is great for running, but I would never wear them on the court.

When they were rereleased, I got another pair of my middle school team shoes. Still play great.

^^Damn, those bring back memories of Incarnate Word Basketball Camp back in 1990. I sported those for Coach Kaspar back when I was 13, on our way to the camp championship. What are they asking for them this time around?
