They've owned in transactions made on draft day.

That's one team and a couple of moves. I'm talking about literally the entire league doing something or trying to do something the day of and the day before the draft.

It seems Portland and Boston have started something.

Zach Randolph (Power Forward), along with reserves Dan Dickau (Point guard) and Fred Jones (Shooting Guard) were traded to the New York Knicks for Channing Frye (Center/Power Forward), Steve Francis (Shooting Guard/Point guard), and a $3 million trade exception.

Acquired the rights to then Phoenix Suns Small forward James Jones and the rights to the 24th pick, in exchange cash considerations.
Traded the rights to Derrick Byars, along with cash considerations, to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for the rights to Finnish Point guard Petteri Koponen.

Traded the rights to Demetris Nichols to the New York Knicks for a future 2nd round draft pick.

Drafted Tyrus Thomas at #4, and traded his rights, along with Viktor Khryapa to the Chicago Bulls for the rights to the #2 pick, LaMarcus Aldridge from Texas.

Selected Randy Foye of Villanova University at #7, traded his rights along with cash considerations, to the Minnesota Timberwolves for the rights to the #6 pick, Brandon Roy from the University of Washington.

Acquired the rights to the #27 pick, Sergio Rodriguez, from the Phoenix Suns in exchange for cash.

Drafted James White with the #31 pick; traded him to the Indiana Pacers for the rights to the #45 pick (Alexander Johnson from Florida State University) and two future second-round picks.

Traded the rights to Johnson to the Memphis Grizzlies for a future second round pick.

Announced that John Nash would not be extended a contract, as Blazer GM. Kevin Pritchard takes over as interim.

Nothing anywhere near what's happening today and yesterday.

2006 had 16 draft day trades. Long way to go to match that.

But most of those occured during the draft. I'm mainly talking about the day before and the day of.

It just seems more hectic than usual.
