Texian Iliad: A Military History of the Texas Revolution by Stephen Hardin

An interesting recap for the Texas revolution from a military perspective and some interesting insight on the motives for the revolution.

Spook Country by William Gibson

I'm not sure exactly how I feel about this book. An interesting take on today's world from a fiction sense, good writing, but the book just kinda ended without any resolution for me. Still a good read though, although I'd recommend "Pattern Recognition" before this for Gibson's later works.

just got Necronomicon: The Collected Works of H.P. Lovecraft. it's a good thing i'm currently sick so i don't sleep much. that book just scares the hell outta me when i read it past midnight.

also picked up a weird book "The reenchantment of the World" by Morris Berman. non-fiction dealing with the evolution of Western scientific consciousness. makes a nice argument, especially now that environmentally-friendly innovations are now at the forefront of global scientific demand.

Really liked this one. Probably more compelling in the first half... the second half is a little disjointed, but still a remarkable story.
