Texian Iliad: A Military History of the Texas Revolution by Stephen Hardin
An interesting recap for the Texas revolution from a military perspective and some interesting insight on the motives for the revolution.

Spook Country by William Gibson
I'm not sure exactly how I feel about this book. An interesting take on today's world from a fiction sense, good writing, but the book just kinda ended without any resolution for me. Still a good read though, although I'd recommend "Pattern Recognition" before this for Gibson's later works.
