I watched it quickly today while doing a million other things, but I need to give it another chance. A lot of what I caught seemed overly silly and disjointed.

Cliquot, Le Moribund, and Scenic World (Versions) were my favs.
Danke. I agree, it is exquisitely cast which makes it worth the price of admission (so to speak) everytime. Martin Freeman, in particular, is becoming a favorite.
I just watched it a few weeks ago, actually. I definitely didn't think the second series was a let down, because I still find the characters/actors engaging, but I also don't necessarily think the show felt as fresh as it did in the first series.
