Sochan is a 60% FT shooter and 30% FT shooter. If he gets to 70% and 35%, he's an all star. Book it.

You're right in that he plays bigger than his height anyways. But Sochan should be bigger than him still.

Draymond is 6'5.75" without shoes, his standing reach is 8'9", and his wingspan is 7'1.25". There are no official measurements for Sochan, but he's supposedly 6'9" with a 7' wingspan. https://www.nba.com/stats/draft/combine-anthro/?SeasonYear=2012-13

Nah... he's much smarter and his impact is much less predicated on athleticism. Marion's impact on the stat sheet was much greater than on actual games, and the opposite is true for Sochan.

He's more Draymond than AK47, in that his biggest strength comes from his intelligence, not his length. He's still long, longer than Draymond (quite a bit).

Blake Wesley and Malaki Branham have multiple all star potential (not saying that is necessarily the case, but could be), but if his shot develops, Sochan is a perennial all defensive and maybe even some all NBA caliber player. Not the best player on a championship team, certainly not by the...

    - Reporter: Is it fair to say that, when you have 3 picks in the first round, with a franchise that is still kind of rebuilding, that you want to take some swings, gambling more on the ceiling than the floor? - BW: Sure, absolutely, BUT WE DON'T WANT TO GAMBLE ON THE CHARACTER, AND WE DON'T WANT...

Wembanyama seems like a truly generational talent, but for us to have a chance we'd have to trade Poeltl + Murray or pray for a miracle. Hopefully we get a big offer for Dejounte and use this season to develop our guys, pick up that centerpiece, and go from there.

Well... Lamelo Ball didn't dominate the Australian league, and he's hardly an NBA scrub... Ousmane Dieng struggled for a large portion of the season, and was taken 11... so not everything is quite so linear.

Especially if they intend to invest in Barlowe, which they surely wouldn't have been able to do with yet another rookie. If that's the case, it removes my only objection from the draft last night (a very minor one).

If you guys were complaining about Argentinians with Scola (I am one of them), multiply that for 1000. This board will effectively be hijacked by a raging Filipino mob. I couldn't even do a YouTube search for NBA draft without having to scroll through endless Kai Sotto references. They made me f*ng...

Houstan missed the combined and that started speculations that he might have received a promise, and given the reasons you mention and that the Spurs had multiple picks in the range he could conceivably go, they were one of the teams he was linked to (OKC being the other). But that's just about the...

Congratulations to the Pistons, you killed the draft. I love all of the Spurs picks, but what sets you apart is that 1) you landed ANOTHER potential franchise player 2) you didn't settle for what you had and MADE THINGS HAPPEN, not settling for what you had and going for another talented piece for...

I love this draft for us as much as anyone, but let's not go overboard, these are 3 kids that just turned 19 and need some developing. Going all in for a Durant caliber star will likely mean other trades for established players that both cost us assets and block the development of our promising...

25 wasn't the problem, we passed on Kamagate at 38, and I think it wouldn't have been all that hard to trade up a bit and grab Koloko either (who went at 33 to Toronto). The FO clearly didn't think much of any of them.

Of my targets at 9 and 20, we got all that were available... even we got one at 25 I had at 20! (Wesley). Incredible draft day. Makes up for the Primo blunder of last year in my book.

There are quite a bit of similarities between Ivey and Wesley, he's sort of a less polished, younger Ivey if you will. But they both are about the same size (I believe Wesley is actually larger), both athletically gifted (though not quite at Ivey's level), both can really drive and score, Ivey is a...

I was a little disappointed we passed on some viable prospects in the 2nd round, but all in all this felt like a dream draft for me. True, we're not coming away with a franchise player, and we might barely make the top 5 most improved teams after the draft (I have Detroit, Houston and Orlando top...

I sure as hell hope not. I don't see why he'd be traded. Lonnie is likely out the door, and Wesley steps right in. Josh Richardson is likely traded sooner rather than later, and Romeo Langford is dead weight. There's no way on earth you pass on talent to accommodate borderline rotation players....

I'm incredibly stoked, we've picked up guys who were pretty much BPA at all positions, met a great need with Sochan, and added 2 young players with tremendous upside. Other than trading for Banchero, I don't think we could have done any better. If we add Kamagate or Minott at 38 that's a coup....
