The Thompson brothers have made some of the most athletic plays I've ever seen :wow I'd probably have then 3 and 4 and then Nick Smith 5 -- but it's close. The recent Whitmore footage gives him a case for 3, as well.

Lonnie is gone. Branham and Wesley aren't point guards -- at least not anytime soon. Tre isn't established as a long-term cog. Murray is in trade rumors. It's not really that clogged for Primo ... but he'll actually have to play well to earn minutes. I regard that as a good thing, tbh.

Looks like Spurs also picked up Jordan Hall (Saint Joseph's)

Good comparison. Ivey and Wesley were the two best one-on-one "separators" in the draft. Ivey is obviously a much superior talent -- but, as you indicated, he was a sophomore and Wesley was a freshman.

I rarely post, but I try to keep up with what's happening with the Spurs. Like you, I am pleased with the draft. I hope life is getting less busy for you, and you get to as many games as possible.

Quality thread. Spurs fans (in general) hate Lonnie Walker, and they drafted two Lonnie Walker replacements. So, that should be enough to stop any complaints about this draft. Hopefully the Spurs can do something in free agency, but there shouldn't be any bellyaching about drafting these...

Branham was in my second tier with Sochan. To get him at 20 is amazing. I'm so glad the Spurs didn't overthink that pick. In the last mock draft I did, I actually initially had Branham going 20 but I changed it at the last second because I thought it was too unrealistic :lol :cry :lol
