The value of that Boston pick is difficult to figure out. If you're already getting the better pick (as long as it's not Boston's #1 overall pick), you're limiting the upside quite a bit. Let's see what kind of protections this pick has. And let's see if it still flips to a second rounder right...

As I just posted, $7 million is whatev, IMO. For the next year, cap space doesn't appear like it'll be an issue. I want to know the protection before I judge the trade, though. I like it well enough if the protection terms are decent.

Meh, $7M to the Spurs right now at this stage isn't anything to worry about, IMO. It's not like they are going to be going after a big free agent this summer. They'll continue to have more cap space than they'll know what to do with for the next year, it appears to me, tbh.
