Actually, the new CBA addresses that issue of extra years, extra money in sign-and-trades. Teams can no longer do it. So if Deron can get $100 M/5 yrs from the Nets and $75 M/4 yrs from the Mavs, even if the Nets agree to a sign-and-trade to send Deron to Dallas, he can only get $75 M/4 yrs. That loophole in sign-and-trades to get max max money was eliminated in the new CBA.

sup findawg. haven't seen you around in a while..tbh i was wondering and wanted your opinion specifically, do you also feel like the mavs have an outside shot at repeating? maybe more of a shot than other people realize. i dunno, i could just see it happening if things fall into place. all our old guys would have to get motivated and revert back to their prime forms for the playoff run like marion, jet, and kidd did last year, except this year with the addition of LO and Carter too.
