Re: Oculus quest 2 or steam VR???
VR still has a ways to go... I can't stand the subtle shakiness of everything, the blurriness here and there, etc but that Oculus 2 is pretty insane regardless. I used it yesterday for some shooting game and in the training zone I took time to look at the guns up close and holy hell I could see details of those models I never thought I'd be able to. I was also loading mags, pulling the slide, etc and it was pretty dope to say the least. I could even read the serial numbers off the guns which blew my mind.

So is it nausea inducing if you play in the 72fps mode? Thinking of picking up a Quest 2 since the 128GB model is cheap now but one of the games I'd want to play is Half Life Alyx from my PC over wireless and don't think I have the cpu for 90 fps but should get the 72 fps on low since I'm above minimum spec (I have a Xeon E3-1231v3 and the min spec is i5-7500 for the game).

The nausea inducing is if you have frame dropoffs... 72 fps is stretching it a bit though. Maybe you can use smaller internal resolution and hit 90 at least.

CPU would be the worry for me, not the gpu, so resolution doesn't matter. Just saw Facebook requires an account with your real name though and can request ID in their TOS, so fuck that, not buying that shit and being forced to give a bunch of personal information to Facebook. I'll just wait for PSVR 2.

Yup, you're the product with Meta.

Fucking bullshit. I can understand I'm the product when I'm using their free service, but being always connected online only so that I'm still the product after paying them $300 is garbage.

Also wasn't the original Quest 72 fps?

I thought it was 90 but I could be wrong. I left mine in the office so I can’t check
Re: Oculus quest 2 or steam VR???
Man the Quest Gaming Showcase was a total bust. A shittier looking version of Moss 2 looked to be the highlight.
