When have we had the cap space to sign these "prime" or "hotly sought after prospects"? There was only once during the Duncan era that I recall and the two targets ended up resigning with their respected teams for more money than the Spurs could have offered (and it was a blessing in disguise that we didn't get either of them). Other than that, we have only actually had the money for and we have only actually NEEDED those "aging talent" and "guys who haven't found their way".Quote:

Suffice to say I haven't figured out why that hasn't caught on and I really can't say why FA don't take a harder look at SA considering most every high quality player manages to stick around once they've had a taste.
