Any game that Duncan puts up 30 points, 18 boards, 4 blocks, 2 assists and 2 steals and the Spurs lose is a bad memory.
Try blowing a 24 point lead:depressed
i seriously couldnt sleep that night.
i told my friend that night "this hurts me just as much as the .4 seconds lose in 2004"
Ugh! How can any Spurs fan watch that game again... it was just so painful how that game ended up unfolding... I can't even bear to even see a lowlight replay of the .4 second loss...most painful of them all...you go from Timmy's miracle shot to that .4 impossible shot....
can we never talk about or see that game again please
it's just a game. get over it. we'll win again. there is no more resilient team in the nba. none
I slept just fine honestly.
Chill. The Spurs happened to suck in that 2nd half. The Lakers beat us because of it. We lost.
Now it's time for next season.
Ha, even I felt bad for the Lakers, after in the halftime of the 6th game, Jon Barry said "The Lakers are getting PUNKED!!!", I was like fuck, that's harsh. My friend who's a Laker fan told me beforehand that he had said that, but I thought he was just exaggerating. And you should really keep posting here, cuz the latina in your sig is HOT!!! What's her name anyways?
Kim Kardashian.:toast
And i will keep posting here, this is a great site.:toast
You just gotta deal around the douches(of all teams Lakers, Spurs, Mavs, Bulls, Rockets.)
I could sleep.
When we were up 20, I knew we would lose this game because we are not good at keeping big leads.
I've heard fans from every team say "our team sucks at holding leads"
i think the Suns take the cake, anyone agree?
I still thought we were gonna win the series after that.
I got over that Lakers series pretty fast. I knew the Lakers had no shot at winning the championship themselves, and they went on to lose. I was pretty satisfied with our playoff performance this year..out of all playoff teams, the Spurs had the hardest set of teams..Phoenix and New Orleans, including coming back from 0-2 and 2-3. We accomplished more than LA did.
It was the Spurs beating themselves as well as the openly acknowledged by the league missed call.
Playoff comebacks are just part of the game. When they happen, they happen, it's just time to move on. I know the Lakers coughed up the biggest one this year, but we have won way more than we have lost. I can think of several postseason games where we were behind 14-20 points and won...
Game 1, 1971 home vs. Chicago, 1st Round
Game 4, 1980 road vs. Seattle WCF
Game 4, 1987 road vs. Boston NBA finals
Game 6, 1987 home vs. Boston NBA finals
Game 7, 2000 home vs. Portland WCF
Game 4, 2002 home vs. Sacramento WCF
I know there were more, those stand out. I also know plenty of other teams have done the dirty deed and turned things around in the end....
Ugh, don't remind me. And I was naive enough to think the Spurs had made some kind of statement and would get even more focused and rebound form that loss.
The game 1 loss alone changed the whole course of the series.
I don't know about the Game 4.
But I believe... had Spurs won Game 1, they would have won the series 4-2.
i was studying with my friend for finals, he was a laker fan, after talking shit to him for most of the game i was more than embarrassed at the end. i hate the lakers.
