That would be me, sir.

Re: Breaking News: Warriors sign Maggette
JR Smith and Azubuike look like the best two options left. Hopefully not Delfino. I'm kinda glad Pietrus isn't an option because that had disaster written all over it.
The Spurs better act fast because this swingman market is going to dry up damn quickly.

Re: Breaking News: Warriors sign Maggette
Azubuike or JR? That is the question.
The realistic answer: probably neither. :lol

Since the Spurs have to get their best players to take pay cuts in order to field a team, they're going to draw only a certain type of player (and Michael Finley). Be glad those players exist at all.

I told you from the get go Maggette would never come here; you guys were dreaming.
If he really wanted to win the title, he would have signed with us on the 1st day of his free agency

Re: Breaking News: Warriors sign Maggette
Money, money, money!!!!! Ho!!!!
I can see it now, Pietres, Maggette, Delfino, JR Smith... all finding homes by tomorrow and Finley will be like Rod Tidwell in JErry MAguire, "You lovin' me now, aren't you?"

Uhh huhh..and maggette has earned the right to compete for a championship..it would be in his best interest to sign with a contender..no way he'd give up the chance for a championship for money right?

Guys stop being so ignorant.
Spurs wanted JR Smith the whole time. Maggette was just CIA Pop keeping the Nuggets off the scent of the Spurs' true plan. CIA Pop to the rescue!

Yeah, true. MLE split between Wright and Mason perhaps. Carlos Delfemale? Hopefully not Jarvis Hayes.

Maggette signing the same day as Pietrus makes me suspect that the Spurs never wanted Pietrus, anyway. (In other words, the Spurs must have suspected at least by yesterday that something was up with Maggette and they clearly did nothing to interfere with the Pietrus signing).
I think that may have been a mistake but it's at least some consolation that Maggette apparently did not cost the Spurs Pietrus.

Exactly. We'll target Bonzi.

Re: Breaking News: Warriors sign Maggette
Damn why Warriors didn't throw their money on Josh Smith or Iguodola?! Do they still got money to get one of these?
It's fucked up, hope we can get JR Smith or Auibuike!

Specifically about JR Smith, doesn't this kinda screw him? I mean, he can't get a deal higher than the MLE now, right? So, whatever deal we were going to offer MAggette we can offer to JR and the Nuggets would be forced to decide if they should pay twice that with the luxary tax. Yeah, everyone out there with the MLE could do the same, but how many teams out there need him bad enough to use their MLE on him? And among those teams, how many would be more attractive than SA?
Hey, if Pietrus is getting the MLE, Beno and Diop too... that might not be a bad deal for JR?
