Manu average 20 points in NBA last year and 20 points in Olympics.
It should be noted that NO other NBA teams projected him to be this good. Otherwise, the Spurs would have seen a better offer than cap space and a 2nd rounder. Even the Rockets could have had him a year earlier at a better price.
It's not an excuse, but the Spurs certainly weren't alone.
Scola was always consider second best player on Argentina team. Always he was consider better than Nocioni. So what you say is not true.Quote:

No way, but then they were smart enough to recover by getting Pau with Kwame's expiring contract. Kobe and many Laker fans came out and criticized their FO for not getting Kidd. Now, Kidd is declining as fast as Bynum is developing, and their FO looks a lot smarter than their fans. Before last year, Boston fans routinely said Ainge was a moron, and Pierce was a whiny, spoiled star who wasn't a winner, etc., etc. Now the fans of both teams will enthusiastically argue that their FOs are the best in the league. You won't see the fans of any other team that has won multiple recent titles and played in the conference finals last year complain about their FOs.... why? because, aside from the Spurs, no other team matching that description even exists.
