I'm not saying Pop was happy about Manu playing, but don't give me this bullshit Pop was alright with Tony playing but didn't want Many to play. I'm pretty damn sure Pop would rather BOTH of them didn't play. Unfortunately that's not his decision.
show me where publically he was not thrilled about it
I have not seen it anywhere

Re: Jeff McDonald: Ginobili awaiting 'miracle'
Obviously i think he should rest but If he can play, he will , otherwise his name will not be ginobili.
-
Re: Jeff McDonald: Ginobili awaiting 'miracle'
No way Manu plays on that thing
He isn't that stupid.
Or is he?

He hasn't said he's thrilled or not thrilled. That's the point.

MY point is pop thought it was important enough to pubically tell manu not to play but not tp

Re: Jeff McDonald: Ginobili awaiting 'miracle'
It wasn't as if he called a freaking press conference just to state he didn't want Manu to play. The issue about Manu playing in the Olympics was pretty public at the time, so Pop had no choice but. The reason why it was public was because Manu was hurt at the time, hence why he added the "unless the ankle showed significant improvement" part.

Stop it already. It wasn't that long ago that the Spurs didn't want Tony to play for his country after an ankle problem. And (as usual) you turned into the worlds biggest Tony Parker appologist. I remember you making some sort of an excuse that it would be good for Tony so he could lose any weight he might have gained over the summer. :lol
But let me guess. It's only selfish if Manu plays for his country after an ankle injury. Right?

Saying "dont give me this bullshit" is termed not exactly friendly in america, dunno about argentina.

Re: Jeff McDonald: Ginobili awaiting 'miracle'
I don't think that Parker playing with the NT this summer is a huge problem for Pop. Parker has had a lot of rest and, while there is greater risk of getting an injury than when you practice, playing with the NT is a good way to be in shape for the NBA season.
And it doesn't mean that Parker is a more loyal Spur than Ginobili. In the past, Parker has played for his NT while Pop was very worried about that. It was the case during the 2005 summer.

:lol Don't give me this bullshit means don't give me this bullshit. Its not a personal insult. Its aimed at the content of what you're saying. Again though, I apologize for the missunderstanding.

and this is the kind of thing I recriminate ducks. I don't judge Tony for wanting to play for his national team. I understand that Spurs fans would rather he didn't though. Ducks on the other hand, only complains about shit when Manu is involved.

Well the content is accurate.
Sorry it doesn't fit what you want to believe.

Wrong the content is misleading, I've already explained why.

Re: Jeff McDonald: Ginobili awaiting 'miracle'
By the way, just so people know, Ginobili has already stated to Argentine media that he is DEFINITELY NOT playing against Lithuania.
EDIT: Here's the link for those that speak Spanish.

Re: Jeff McDonald: Ginobili awaiting 'miracle'
i didn't understand: is this the same injury from the playoff?
-
Re: Jeff McDonald: Ginobili awaiting 'miracle'
