I imagine it more like:
Manu: "Hey Pop, I just want to tell ..."
Pop: "I know what the [email protected]#$ you want to tell me. I told your dumb [email protected]# that this would happen. But no, you had to go try to be the [email protected]#$ing hero and ignore the [email protected]#$ers who are signing your [email protected]#$ing checks. [email protected]#$ you."
Manu: "Hey Pop my Time Warner cell phone is breaking up I call you back."

Not north-american region, but Brazil looks promising if they can get their act together. They have the NBA talent at least.

I don't know... I saw some good talent on the bench that could really kick some ass in 2012. I think that Scola and Delfino will be back, so they could still contend for the podium.

When is the gold medal game? That game will probably be boring but I'll at least listen to it. :sleep

Re: Game Blog :: Argentina vs. Lithuania :: Bronze Medal Game
that was a pleasure to watch the celebration at the end. congratulations to the Argentinian team for a very nice win and a medal! :toast

Re: Game Blog :: Argentina vs. Lithuania :: Bronze Medal Game
I think as more international players join the nba and then play in the Olympics for their respective teams we will see multiple foreign teams with multiple NBA players on them and the gap will be closed forever and each olympics will be a question mark as to who wins the gold

I find it enjoying to see that Manu and Co. were ecstatic about winning the bronze and the geniune joy they had. If I were one of them I would be dissapointed.

Re: Game Blog :: Argentina vs. Lithuania :: Bronze Medal Game
like I said earlier, Manu not in a cast or boot means he's not all that hurt unless the team doctor has no clue what to do.

Backing up a gold medal with a bronze medal proves there was no fluke involved. Winning bronze with Manu injured and Nocioni banged up was very impressive. Bronze in this tournament is nothing to be ashamed about.
History will see this group of Argentines as one of the best international teams in basketball history. This team will undoubtedly be enshrined in the Basketball Hall of Fame.
Maybe you don't get it but the objetive allways was to get a medal of any colour. This team was realistic all the time. We have no olympic history but this is our second medal. They wanted to be one of the best 3.
Lithuania is empty.

Major Props to Argentina on their medal. Glad to see Manu get another medal for laying it all out on the line. Now I hope someone ties him to a Lay - Z Boy and doesn't let him up until the start of the Spurs' season.

That's weird, Team USA's website says the game was supposed to start at 2:15 AM ET. I guess the game is at 2:30 AM ET.
