The Spurs are "boring" because they're in a small market. The Knicks during the Jordan era were appropriately hyped (they were tough!), but the NBA is a different animal these days. Posterity, though, will judge Timmy & Co kindly.

It is true, the less intellectually endowed among us might struggle to understand the often lofty ideas in his films, which I suppose, could contribute to feelings of boredom amongst that sect.
