what about Hill + Bonner for Travis Outlaw?
Where'd you hear Outlaw was available and tradeable for a PG? They already got Bayless and Steve Blake + alot of Brandon Roy at PG, why would they want another PG?
If the Blazers are crazy enough to do Hill+Bonner, by all means get that shit done. Although they'll probably ask for Manu as they need some veterans and maybe include Martell Webster or Sergio Rodriguez in the deal.

the rumor concerned the blazers possibly offering travis outlaw in a package to the bulls for kirk hinrich.
why bother posting this? the rumor is barely reputable to start with, and hill + bonner = nothing. might as well be bonner/vaughn/hill for chris paul. it makes zero sense on every level. just like this...

I'm guessing you read this in that blog from Memphis Edge, or on the failure known as Hoopsworld.

i read this in hoopshype
If i were portland i would want a point as well. They have alot of talent on all positions, but they are very young. A good point guard would really help this squad. I dont see any reason why they couldnt come up with some kind of trade to get one. Everyone knows they have tons of talent. With that being said, we are looking for a point guard as well. Hill isnt what portland wants, he really isnt what we want either. Not gonna happen.
Hill+Bonner for Outlaw?
Yeah right. I hear Pritchard laughing.
Portland already has too many players. They're probably looking to give up two for one, or something like that. And in addition the point guards listed elsewhere in this thread, they also have Sergio riding pine. The Spurs could probably get Sergio Rodriguez for the trade exception and a 2nd round pick, but what would be the point?
Martell Webster might be available, but the Spurs don't have the assets. Likewise for Ike Diogu and Channing Frye.
Move along. Nothing to see here.
another trade proposition for Matt Bonner...
Will it ever end?
I'm beginning to believe that there is no team in the NBA that could turn down an offer of Hill and Bonner (sweetened perhaps with a little bit of Jacque Vaughn) if presented with the opportunity to get those guys. I mean, teams are seriously going to be outbidding each other to win that talent-laden package of players. I can only hope that the Spurs don't get raped too badly when they finally decide to make that offer and take back whatever pennies on the dollar they can hope to get back.
Why not Bonner for him outlaw is a much better player...
Trade future pick for him, they have to dump someone due to roster limits.
I wouldn't trade Hill alone for that overachiever.
Spurs should hang onto Bonner+Hill until 2010 when LeBron is available.
if only thats what it took..
Travis Outlaw would be a perfect addition to our team - a long athletic 3 whose jumpshot really improved last year.
Unfortunately, you are full of shit because there's no way they want a PG for him.
74 year-old Michael Finley will play significant minutes at the 2-3 - just accept it. :pctoss
I love Travis Outlaw's game, but there's no chance unless we throw something bigger in. Even Finley (even though we re-upped him :( )
:lol @ Spursfan thinking that anyone is gonna want matt bonner.
Odom for outlaw!
Portland has enough Big Guys and two PG's who are better than Vaughn. So why would they want Bonner or Vaughn. A veteran backup SG could me more tempting for them but they are not getting one via a trade with San Antonio.
The only guy we can get for Matt Bonner is Brian Scalabrine
:lol
I wonder if Boston Celtic forums are as obsessed with trading Scalabrine as this one is with trading Bonner? I don't think any team would even trade a 2nd round pick for Bonner. At this point, the rights to #57 James Gist are more valuable trade fodder than Bonner.
Let's face it...we've dug ourselves a big hole by going "all in" with #21, #20, #12 and #9 (our "core group of players") BET THE HOUSE ON THAT HOLE and have since only filled it with shit to save a buck. I'm no longer optomistic.
I'll ignore the ignoramus above but I've paid appropriate attention to your logic in the past. MARK THIS: When we actually make the supreme "get us back on track" move in 2010 (which had better be stupendous) OR we are back to contention "form", then not only will I EAT the crow and BBQ it, I'll HAVE the BBQ and cook for all. If not...it's on you.
Just remember, there was a "Master Plan 2008" too.
