Hey I just had a quick question. Apparently the rule for ROMS is that if you own the cartridge, you can download and keep the game for your emulator, legally. does the same hold true for newer games? I bought Guitar Hero 3 (shelled out 80 bucks for it) for PC and I finally got a laptop that can play it. Unfortunately I seem to have lost the game, but I still have the guitar. Would it be unethical and/or illegal to download it online?
I think it's still illegal but people like to think it's legal because they bought the game...

Why not just ask someone to download it for you that lives off campus?
