If McCain is elected and Palin ascends to the Presidency, she's going to be nominating people to fill vacancies on that Court. I'd like to think that she would understand the work that the Court does, which is generally evidenced by knowing about landmark cases as to which most 8th or 9th graders would be conversant.

It was a good debate and it was refreshing to see the two candidates respect and look at each other and acknowledge each other. Palin schooled McCain on how to debate.

And BTW, I'd say if she were a lawyer she'd a have much better chance of picking a judge that has a biased agenda.

So tell me FWDT, were you terrified of Bill Clinton when he pushed for line item veto and wanted to remove term limits?

No, because unlike Cheney, Clinton didn't just assume those powers to himself and, instead, went through the appropriate channels to seek approval for those powers.

It's a gigantic difference.

He didn't push for it incredibly hard but he did mention it at the end of his last term...that the people ought to be able to keep a President they like.
