Maybe you are a "Maverick."
I was going to say as well....
The only large states in the South are Texas, Georgia and Florida. Arkansas/Mississippi/Lousiana/etc are all small states with low populations.
Just because there are more red states on your map doesnt mean a majority of the country voted that way. Red states are traditionally very low population places. N.Dakota, S.Dakota, Nebraska, the entire South (save Texas), etc.
A grand total of less than 100 EVs (minus Texas) for like 15 states.
For comparison, little-ass Conneticut has more EVs than Mississippi, West Virginia, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, The Dakotas, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho and Utah.
Yeah, that little spec in the NorthEast is more important to the election than a majority of the states you can easily recognize on the map.

I, for one, would love the Justice Department to change from the partisan extension of the Republican party back to being the most impartial part of the government.
I would like the change from their policy of hiring for non-political positions based on loyalty to the Republican party. (did I mention that this is illegal?)
I would like the change from firing prosecutors who don't "go after" Democrats hard enough or have the temerity to indict Republicans. (did I mention that this is illegal too?)
I would like the change where the Head of the Justice department is more worried about organized crime and justice than whether a statue in the atrium is showing a nipple.
There is some of my "change" wishes. I can provide links to the above bits, if needed.
So why are you whining about the changes you say will happen under Obama?
