I hate Cheney as much as the next guy, but when I heard where this came from I just laughed.

What a fucking joke, I guess they must have been bored down there.

you have to understand how things are done in South Texas to fully appreciate it, which for geographic purposes you just cut off the bottom most tip and add a few counties just north and northwest of said tip.

It's a whole nother Texas, for sure.

Guerra was the Willacy DA for 20 years. There's no telling how many self-important dicks he had to step on to justify his sinecure, or how many people wanted to squash his self-important dick in return.

This didn't just happen overnight. Like everything else in South Texas, it has a convoluted and somewhat tortured history.
