Dude, I think its going to be a bitch beating any of those, except maybe the hornets! Without Tim, either Manu or Tony are going to HAVE to bring their A game, or else good bye first place.
Suns the most trouble. That's about it.
Well since its day to day, Tim may sit out New Jersey and play on wednesday. So we could win all of them but the tough one will be phoenix.
It's grade 1. Take a pill.

He probably won't miss Phoenix, but he may sit for NJ.
Walton, you need to chill out, man. Duncan doesn't decide if he's going back in, the med staff and Pop do. If it is in fact sprained, and it is, it's not wise to go right back out and play, regardless of what grade sprain it is. A sprain is a loosening of the ligaments, and should be iced immediately to make them contract. If he were to go back out and play and roll it again, he could TEAR the fucking ligaments, but I guess that would make him a man in your eyes, albeit a man who would be OUT FOR THE SEASON.
When aren't you pissed?Quote:

Remember Turtleneck & Blazer?
If it was mild, I don't understand why he didn't get an ice pack and at least come back and sit on the bench for moral support. I'm sure his presence would at least have given the team a lift.Quote:

I know we need to beat NJ and Phoenix, but in the long run (meaning playoffs!), it would serve everyone better to let that ankle heal as long as possible before risking it again.
Have you seen their bench area? They're packed in there like sardines. With an immobilized leg, he'd have been stepping all over other people and vice versa.Quote:

now duncan is ripped up for not coming out to the bench witha sprained ankle/?
Only tweedle dee and tweedle dumb butt fuck brothers would argue that.
All losses!Quote:

Yep! That's about what one could expect from a LakerGod. What in God's name is a LakerGod? The name makes no sense. Do the Lakers look to you as their God? IMHO, you need to find a new name. LakerLover would seem more apt.Quote:

Laker fans don't know about that since it's all Kobe for them.Quote:

I'm sorry but all of the games mentioned are going to be losses.
Say bye bye to the number 1 seed!
Watch out with Dallas and Houston, who knows maybe the spursies end up a 4th seed.

Not gonna happen, baby! We Spurs Lovers (note that we do not consider ourselves Spurs Gods) know when to carp and when to praise. A good moon is rising on the Spurs right now. I see a fair moon rising, with no trouble along the way...Quote:

You've gotta be the most pathetic basketball fan I know. Sorry but even if Tim is gonna be gone for all of those games the Spurs will win most of them. Down here in SA we have something that we like to call a TEAM. Now I realize that you're a laker fan so you probably don't know what TEAM means so here's the dictionary definition:
team - Sports & Games . A group on the same side, as in a game.

Oh... i see. So now you're saying that they are going to win some games. Just stop posting shit just so that u can get attention.Quote:

Not a one of them is capable of scoring enough points, or making strong defensive plays to make up for the loss of one player.Quote:

Let's talk about the Lakers, now. Are the Lakers a better team with hotshot Bryant running the show? Boy! He can sure slam that ball down, but can he bring the victory?
Basketball is a five-member sport, with each member playing a specific role on offense and defense. This is all it's ever been - and this is one reason why the Pistons made the Lakers look like jerks last year. Five determined, hustling players (whether or not they've ever been named to the All-Star Team, or whether or not they've ever been named MVP) are the members of a TEAM that must be dealt with.
I Love this game!!!!! :elephant
Suns and Nuggets will both be tough. However, we might be able to keep up with them in a high-scoring affair. Bowen shuts down Carmelo, TP/Beno/Manu/BB run run run.
Jersey should be interesting given the hatred VC has for Bruce...
Hornets and T-Wolves shouldn't be too much of a problem. Wolves should be, but not the way they are playing right now.
A big test or two coming up for our frontcourt. Hopefully Nazr can get some court time and fit right in.
I've given up on LakerGod(dess), nothing remotely intelligent is bound to come out of that brain.
Lakergod shut your trap
i got it from supergino.com :spinQuote:

The Spurs were fortunate to beat NJ earlier. Vince Carter will be a handful, especially with easier lane access. It will take extra effort to beat them.
PHX is the 2nd game of a back-to-back...on the road. This is likely a loss, even WITH Timmy.
If the Spurs win 3 of 5, I'd be happy. If the Spurs beat the Suns with the schedule as it is...it will be a watermark game for the season.
SPURS 5-0,also SPURS blowout the suns with or without DUNCAN. :drunk :drunkQuote:

You are absurd and a total discrace to most of the fans of your formerly great team.

I think Pop will sit TD out for Nets and then get him back for Phoenix.
We can beat nets w/o TD.
It was his right ankle that was injured when he sat out in Charlotte.Quote:

For some reason I hope Duncan sits out next 2 games I would really love beating the Suns without Duncan. I think we could do it too. More than likely they would win but it would be great to beat them without Duncan.
the nets could be a tiny problem but spurs should win

Just wanted to bump this thread and thank everyone for over-reacting to Duncan's injury. :)

Thank Duncan for it too while you're at it. He started this mess by acting like he'd just been shot. :rolleyesQuote:

I'm sorry to re-post this pic from ^. Many of you may have been in this same position before on the court, so it's understandable, but....I just had to caption it.

"Mommy!"
TD = Earl Campbell
Earl would act like he was on death's door each time he got up and you thought he would be done for the day, then he would break 3 tackles on the next play and score on a 35yd TD run.
Unfortunately, Earl's beatings caught up with him and he is crippled now. :(
True, I saw Earl recently and he walks slowly and with a noticable limp. He's getting white-haired, too...like Moses just down from Mt. Sinai. :)Quote:

1-2 so far
this sucks
Duncan played against the Nets.
So the Spurs are 0-2 with Duncan out, and he's going to play tomorrow (unless he gets injured again overnight).
I hope he sits out, no point on risking anything against a top3 worst team in the NBA
He is fine and will likely play. His ankle was already fine yesterday and apparently his back clicked back to normal today.
every game from now on should be treated as a playoff game
Spurs/Suns are tied and the Heat look like they're going to have HC with the scheduale they have
