It is going to be gooden's production on the offense. When he plays with our second unit he needs to help manu out offensively. i think thats where we will make our runs
I was gonna say Ginobili, but since you said outside the big 3 I'd have to
go with Roger Mason.
Thomas is a given since he does his part, so you don't have to say him.
BRUCE BOWEN and his Defense.
Health and God
Finely. He seems to get minutes regardless of play, so it might help that he's actually making his open threes, which he'll do a game here or there.
it's impossible to pin-point 1 person as an x-factor..our system is entirely based on 3 guys that create + role players..all the role players basically play equal roles, but mostly different obviously..
IF I had to pick one, I'd say Finley, because Pop is going to play him regardless of production..like my man Death In June posted..
In the first line Mason but I hope Gooden become more Minutes and the can he help us much more.
I think Udoka is hot when he comes in and can stop the other guy
This three guys can the big three help out.
Bowen is for 3 or 4 games good but not the compleet Playoffs
Finley.
Pop will give him major minutes, we all know that even if we don't like it.
If he's good, we're bound for a good game if not it's 5 on 4.
I'm not sure if Gooden will be, but he can be if Manu and him have good on court chemistry.
I think it's definitely Mason, if he's draining threes, he'll give us separation and help us maintain that elusive offensive cushion that Spurs need to win championships.
Finley, Bonner, Bruce, Manu will all chip in of course behind the arc, but Mason's the guy the opposing teams will have to account for these playoffs based on his newly built reputation of being another clutch assassin outside of the big three.
It's a luxury that we didn't have last year. For instance, Pop tried testing noobs like Bonner in the regular season, as a guy to test for playoff scenarios, but to no avail.
I don't really see any potential in Udoka. He's a good defensive spare, but I don't think he's reliable on offense as a playoff roleplayer.
I would hope he isn't the X factor. I'm sick and tired of needing Finley to make his shots so we avoid 3rd quarter slumps.
Udoka fighting for a new contract
Findog.
Definitely Mason or Finley. If one of them is hot on any given game we are very tough to beat provided the big three are healthy.
I wanna say Gooden, but I don't see him playing significant minutes when it counts in the playoffs. He needs to come a long way in a short amount of time for that to happen IMO.
I think Mason or Gooden. Gooden still needs to adjust and find his way in this team.
Team doctors and trainers.
Gooden and Thomas
I have to say Mason in the starting lineup and Gooden off the bench. Mason will be stretching the defense and then Gooden will improve the lack of bench production. If Manu and Gooden get in synch, with everyone playing good defense, I could see other teams just getting that hopeless look in their eyes. The thing I love about watching the Spurs is hearing the announcers say that the opponent needs to play a perfect game to have a chance. That has got to effect the other teams scorers sometime in the game.
Except the damn Lakers. We don't seem to have any effect on their confidence this year.
Mason but it's a team game and we're going to need everyone to contribute.
Joey Crawford and David Stern:lol
I think Manu is both in the Big 3 and the X-Factor. But, if I had to choose someone else it would be Bruce. If on, he can eaily change the outcome of a game for the Spurs.
Bruce on D, Mason in the clutch ....
close thread
Finley or Udoka!
The team. It how they work and its been the key to their success. No one does it better.
Thomas
Mason will be the x factor. He will be the x factor by making shots and helping us advance or not making them and screwing our chances of going any further. It's definitely Mason, outside the big 3 on offense.
On defense, Thomas!
George Hill's defense will make him more important than anyone.
Gooden...
Pops. He'll finally settle on a rotation, and in doing so win MVP.
the team that can upset the lakers before the spurs have to face them
