The new guy sounds okay to me...but my grandmother has more basketball knowledge. Seriously he makes ridiculous mistakes throughout the game and apparently doesn't know that carrying the ball is a violation :bang
I saw him at the Gervin roast, but didn't get the chance to ask him. He's still not walking very well.
Yeah it is pretty embarrassing that brosef announces baskets that were made like ten seconds after a whistle.

Chuck is ok and like someone else here said I like the Juuuuuuuunior part also but not the M-M-M-Matt Bonner one so much. But I guess we gotta cut him some slack since he was thrown into the PA announcing fire out of nowhere when Big Kev went down, and It's not easy for anyone to just go out there and PA an arena with about 19,000 fans every night. Although he isnt the best...he isnt the worst either, that Rockets PA announcer guy is annoying as hell.
Sorry, but it would take more than two torn up knees to keep me from front row seats for the Spurs, a microphone and a paycheck.

I heard on the radio this past week that Big Kev won't be back by the end of this season including the playoffs, but he'll be back for the start of the Silver Stars' season. And he'll continue as the Spurs PA announcer next season. So it's Chuck for the rest of the year like it or not. Sorry.
we'll i dont have a problem with the new guys voice anything better than stan kelly but he obvisouly had horrible vision or dosen't know his basketball and is quite goofy looking IMO o well we should hire the old rockets PA announcer he did the last game against the spurs in houston for some reason when i went and i really liked his voice it was calm not too annoying compared to the rockets current PA announcer who has a deep voice and was annoying after a whileQuote:

Although Stan Kelly had a really annoying voice, I miss the guy. I was just use to hearing him being the PA.

1 Stan's not coming back. They dumped him to save one salary by having BK do both S and SS games.
2 The "Junior" is the way that RMJ prefers to be announced. They just called him RM at his first UVA game, and he asked them to include the Junior. He feels that it honors his late father for him to be addressed as RM Junior instead of just RM.
