The amount of people who can't pay their taxes this year has increased by 3 fold from last year. Yet Obama is telling those folks "Not to worry about it. Government will get your back. Well just pass another spending bill! YES WE CAN!"
Never mind responsible Americans like you and me who pay our taxes and mortages and live within our means.

Well gee Chump - we don't have a list of EVERY individual who is planning on attending these events. You probably are referring to big name democrats or politicians - but you see, that's what you guys aren't getting. It isn't so much the democrat politicians that are supporting these tea parties - it's the average American citizen who's fed up with the government!
I've heard phone calls from many people involved in planning these events, and all of them said the thing that surprised them was how diverse the group was - it includes republicans, democrats, independents, senior citizens, college students, housewives and professional businessmen.
Oh - and this is for all of you who are making fun of the term "tea" parties. It stands for: Taxed Enough Already

This is from the website taxdayteaparty.com
"The Tax Day Tea Party is a national collaborative grassroots effort organized by Smart Girl Politics, Top Conservatives on Twitter, the DontGo Movement and many other online groups/coalitions."
As for who will be featured speakers, I don't know. I know that many known conservatives will be covering the event in several cities. Sean will be in Atlanta, Neal Cavuto will be in Sacramento, and I think Karl Rove is going to be in New York. They aren't speaking, they're just covering it for the news.
I know Ted Nugent will be at the Alamo tomorrow - he's playing the National Anthem. Another guest will be Marcus Luttrell, a navy seal who wrote the book "Lone Survivor: The Eyewitness Account of Operation Redwing and the Lost Heroes of SEAL Team 10".

Not utterly without justice, some people think Bush was a tyrant, so what's the diff?
The continuity has been striking. Obama challenged the court that freed the Uighurs and won to keep them locked up; he is fighting to prevent discovery of warrantless wiretapping, and he seeks to maintain Bagram AFB and other secret sites as law-free zones in the GWOT. His DOJ still uses the same legal rationales as Bush and according to Glenn Greenwald, is willing to go even further in some cases.
Like Bush, a war in Asia is an idee fixe with Obama. The objective has not been clearly spelled out, nor has any exit strategy. Looks like nation building. It could take awhile.
On the home front, the mortgage and finance sectors have been socialized. It looks like socialism, but actually, what happened is big finance sucked all the (our, remember fees and interest) wealth out of giant equity bubbles, then threw their insolvency in the taxpayer's lap when their bets went bad. Now they're going to mine the future prosperity of the US taxpayer. It's the only store of wealth left for predatory banks, insurance companies and bank receivers. Our government appears reluctant to manage the problem. I wonder why.
It isn't tyranny yet. But Obama seems to have *handed the keys to the kingdom* to the very firms who ran our economy into the ditch. Scary. The tendency is oligarchy IMO.

You and your kind want to change American into a socialistic state, rejecting all ideals that made us the greatest outpost of liberty in the history of the world, one nation under God. You believe in huge government supremacy, thereby rejecting the Declaration. You want the European model here, a model impeades growth, prosperity, and individual liberty to make a better living for yourself. You care not about a person prospering by, and on their own merits(that is, liberty) if it disrupts movement towards a utopian state, you, far left liberals, and Obama want. You want government handouts. You don't want to achive on your own. You're lazy.
Case in point, look at the economic shit storm in California created by liberal beliefs, and look at the economic prosperity that exists in Texas created by conservative beliefs.?

I hear the calls from people who escaped from countries like Russia, or former Soviet bloc nations like Poland, and they are frightened to see what is happening in the United States. They say "we already saw this movie - we know how it ends!" And many of them also say they remember their parents denying what was happening until it was too late.
But the one that really got to me was the Cuban immigrant who said he was lucky because he had a place to escape to - the greatest country in the world - The United States. And then he said - but if America fails, where do we have to escape to?

I'm married to somebody who lived in communist Poland. What really reminds her (and her family and friends) of living in a Soviet-occupied country was the Bush administration's response to 9/11, especially the surveillance tactics of the Dept. of Homeland Security.

I think the primary reasons for that is the same things I have stated in the past.
1) The acknowledgment that we should take care of the elderly (medicare prescription reform)
2) Wartime spending is easily seen as part of the constitution. I have repeatedly stated in the past that we should never run a deficit except in times of war, recession, or depression. 9/11 and what we did after fully justified a deficit spending. Social programs do not.

CNN Correspondent Claims Tea Parties 'Anti-Government,' 'Anti-CNN'
By Julia A. Seymour (Bio | Archive)
April 15, 2009 - 15:57 ET
CNN is finally covering the tea parties - by attacking the participants. After anchor Anderson Cooper made an obscene sexual joke about attendees, CNN correspondent Susan Roesgen rudely interrupted one of the protestors and slammed the event for being "anti-government," "anti-CNN," and "not really family viewing."
Roesgen asked a man holding his toddler, "Why are you here today?" The man started to respond saying, "Because I hear a president say that he believed in what Lincoln stood for. Lincoln's primary thing was he believed people had the right to liberty and they had the right..."
But Roesgen cut him off him, saying, "But sir, what does that have to do with taxes? What does this have to do with your taxes?" She continued asking questions over his as he asked her to "let me finish my point." One crowd member was heard to yell "shut up" to the Roesgen.
When the man finished his statement about people having the "right to the fruits of their own labor" and "government should not take it," Roesgen began arguing with him again and other protesters began to get upset.
Roesgen backed away claiming that "you get the general tenor of this," tea party. "Anti-government, anti-CNN since this is highly promoted by the right-wing conservative network Fox and since I can't really hear much more and I think this is not really family viewing. Toss it back to you Kyra," Roesgen concluded.
Phillips followed by calling that assessment "a "prime example of what we're following across the country."

The reporter is rude and condescending and won't even let the guy she's supposed to be interviewing finish a sentence - and yet you're laughing at the crowd? I suspect this is just the type of coverage the mainstream media will give the Tea Parties. That reporter's elitist snobbery came thru loud and clear. But I wouldn't expect anything different from CNN.

I think she was being quite friendly with them.
I like how she says it's organized by conservative groups while a man holds a sign that reads "Republicans suck too".

The Journalist's Creed
I believe in the profession of Journalism. I believe that the public journal is a public trust; that all connected with it are, to the full measure of responsibility, trustees for the public; that acceptance of lesser service than the public service is a betrayal of this trust. I believe that clear thinking, clear statement, accuracy and fairness are fundamental to good journalism. I believe that a journalist should write only what he holds in his heart to be true. I believe that suppression of the news, for any consideration other than the welfare of society, is indefensible. I believe that no one should write as a journalist what he would not say as a gentleman; that bribery by one's own pocket book is as much to be avoided as bribery by the pocketbook of another; that individual responsibility may not be escaped by pleading another's instructions or another's dividends. I believe that advertising, news and editorial columns should alike serve the best interests of readers; that a single standard of helpful truth and cleanness should prevail for all; that supreme test of good journalism is the measure of its public service. I believe that the journalism which succeeds the best-and best deserves success-fears God and honors man; is stoutly independent; unmoved by pride of opinion or greed of power; constructive, tolerant but never careless, self-controlled, patient, always respectful of its readers but always unafraid, is quickly indignant at injustice; is unswayed by the appeal of the privilege or the clamor of the mob; seeks to give every man a chance, and as far as law, an honest wage and recognition of human brotherhood can make it so, an equal chance; is profoundly patriotic while sincerely promoting international good will and cementing world-comradeship, is a journalism of humanity, of and for today's world.

I never really found him that adamant...but he did have Ron Paul on the show a few times so that was nice. I'm going against my religion and watching fox news right now and the tea party in downtown SA looks pretty huge. Not just Republicans there either thankfully.

That is your opinion. We've been over this countless times. Must we again?
At the time, an overwhelming number of Americans supported it. Congress voted for it including most democrats.
Please acknowledge that as a truth.
