You know it's going to happen, you just know it...
yeah, im sure he will be.
he will try to screw us again:lobt2:
lets hire someone to kidnap Joey Crawford and then release him after the playoffs, I don't know, maybe the Somalies pirates can do the job because I have a feeling we are going to see him in the playoffs.
Depends on the situation. Either Game 3 in Dallas (if we're up 2-0) or Game 5 in SA (if the series is tied 2-2). Book it...
You guys hate Joey Crawford and we cant stand Danny Crawford
I'd take Joey in Dallas much more readily than having to deal with Joey in San Antonio. Having Joey for a home game, at this point, would compound the problem, I think.
Game 3 or 4
Damn....
I completely forgot about Joey.......
I hope the AT&T Center will give him the Javie tratment: " Joey sucks! Joey sucks ! "
he will probably ref the game where Mavs win by 15
I seriously can't believe the guy is allowed to ref Spurs games still.
He will be working the games we lose by a curious coincidence
It is possible that the Spurs and Mavs could play 7 games in the First Round without seeing Joey for any of them. Last year, in the Celtics/Hawks series (which, of course, went 7), 11 of the 12 Finals officials -- and Joey will be one of those again in 2009, I'm sure -- worked at least one game (Salvatore actually worked two). Only Scott Foster didn't work a game in that series.
But if the series goes to 7 and Joey hasn't worked in games 1-6, I'd be knock-me-over-with-a-feather shocked if Joey didn't work that game.
Fuck Crawford, but it won't matter
Spurs in 6...
As long as Timmy doesn't laugh at him....the Spurs are ok. :)
I hope he works Game 8...
Whatever games Crawford is going to referee we are going to lose. Simple as that.
Spurs didn't lose the last game that Joey worked with them. And, in fact, the Spurs had a winning record (2-1) with Joey working games in 2008-09. They beat Chicago and Utah and they lost a close game at Dallas.
All who are concerned deeply with the identity of officials should worry more if David Jones is in the house -- the Spurs are 1-5 in games that he officiates. Or worry if Monty McCutchen or Ken Mauer is calling the game -- the Spurs are 0-3 in their games. Worry if Ed Rush or Joe Derosa is the crew chief -- the Spurs are 2-3 in their games this season.
Funny how after the Spurs beat the Kings last week on a three pointer that was clearly not released before the shot clock expired, there were no threads about how there's an NBA conspiracy to help the Spurs win.
Hell, I would rather see Joey than Bennett Salvatore.
I'm quite sure that the Prick Stern has many makeup artists at the ready complete with various colored and styles of wigs and facial hair. He'll probably provide the little twerp with various heights of lifts for his shoes. Maybe a pillow or two for his butt and stomach. Yes, some way, some how, Joey 'The Imbecile" Crawford will be working every Spurs game throughout the playoffs. But, he will save his worst call for game 7 of the WC Finals with 1 second left when Finley, Mason or Duncan hit the winning 3.
So the Spurs don't like Crawford.
Rockets hate Violet Palmer. I swear to God; she is a racist. She absolutely hates Yao; everything is an offensive foul. Every flop is Yao's fault.
To make the matter worse, no contact is needed. She is the master of phantom calls.
With the history, you got to believe there's a psychological edge against us no matter who we play when Joey Crawford works the game. It's always going to be in the back of Tim's and others minds no matter what they say publicly and regardless of whether Crawford's calling the game fairly or not. That's why he should never officiate a Spurs game. All officials make mistakes, but it's magnified 1000+ times, if he does during a Spurs game. What happens when Tim or Pop disagree with a call in the playoffs and Joey "Tee's" them up? I hope for Joey's sake that does not happen in the AT&T Center.
What would be right in the world is Joey Crawford never reffing a Spurs playoff game again.
However to compromise I say never a Spurs/Mavs series/reg season game again.
He showed obvious dislike for Tim Duncan and again against the Spurs in other games. Once even suspended by his own for his lack of common understanding that you have to be fair no matter your inner dislike or approval of a team and or player.
Right now I would bet a Lincoln we will see him in this series though.
Im still pissed about the Joey Crawford incident.
He ejects the mighty Tim Duncan for showing him up and the whiny Spur fans cry and send e-mails to the league and the ref actually gets suspended for the playoffs? wtf?
i bet nothing happens to the ref that gave SA the win the other night in Sacramento, a play that cost Houston a division title
Fuck the Spurs. seriously
He hates the Celtics too :lol I think it was the last game that he dished out 5 techs to them
